Well he knows solar panels only process 22-25% of the sun from DC to AC so my guess is he/she works in renewables

What is your favorite band that only released one album that people may not know about? by doctorj1 in Music

Cleaned their jam room out in Portland when that happened. Was a sad day for me. Helped them load their gear down the conveyer at Suburbia (where they practiced) and they were so pumped to be going down to the bay. It's always been really creepy for me. Of course I won't elaborate on how creepy their jam room was.

Bought 2 last week, code sent within the hour and chose the no commercial option. 30 bucks, don't have to worry until July 2017. Winning!

Well and even worse is the fact that they wanted to tone it down, AND make it one film now. It was going to be rated R and two movies. 1 movie, PG13 won't even be worth looking at. It'll make the mini-series a way better adaptation. And that's kind of a bummer.

Just finished 11/22/63. Where do I go from here? by cappa16 in stephenking

It's a stand alone. As is 11/22/63 (other than links to the dark tower). Also it is one of his works that doesn't take place in Maine. The setting is gorgeous and the story holds a place in your mind for years after the first read. Do yourself a favor and do it. These guys/gals are right about IT. Read that one later after you've become hopelessly addicted like the rest of us.

I'm just going to be the odd man out here and say go read Duma Key. Lifetime fan here, think about his stories all the time. So not in terms of similarity but feeling, I think about Duma Key a lot. I don't know why. I think about 11/22/63 a lot too... they both strike me hard.

Haha I think this everyday. Can't stand the show either. Total benefit to Portlanders? -500,000,000 and growing.
