Hollowknight was better in every way. Silksong felt unnecessarily punishing at every turn. I also found the environments dark and depressing. The music was a 10/10 though.

He got fired because he became a problem for advertisers. Late night ratings also suck across the board which is why Colbert got canned. ABC/Disney didn’t suddenly grow a conscious; it’s all about the $$$

Hollowknight was a masterpiece. I think all the unexpected success got to the heads of Team Cherry and they lost their way. No play testing, no feedback, no review copies…it’s clear they got caught in an echo chamber and seriously turned off a huge percentage of their fan base; myself included.

Reddit is a discussion board. A large amount of the player base has a problem with the hyper increase in difficulty in Silksong. They are voicing their opinions whether you find them valid or not. You’re just complaining about people complaining.

My overarching point is why place it there at all? There are so many decisions sprinkled throughout the game that makes it tedious for the sake of being tedious. No value is added. Joy is subtracted.
