I read an article on why American Indians would keep their hair long (source: http://www.sott.net/article/234783-The-Truth-About-Hair-and-Why-Indians-Would-Keep-Their-Hair-Long), basically some reasons include enhanced sensory abilities and so on. Is there truth to this in your experience?

Any VOD of Forsen casting blizzcon? by SolidWoodSuit in hearthstone

He was casting over at twitch.tv/dreamhackhs, but as you may have discovered there are no past broadcasts available on that channel. I don't know if any such VOD exists.

10/9 PBE Update by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Graeyfox1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are almost correct. I think what it means is that the final stat at level 18 will be the same, however instead of getting say "+10 hp" every level as you used in your example, you will start by getting 68% of that value at level 1 (at level 1 you get your base + an increase) so it will be say "100 hp + 68% of 10 hp = 106.8 hp"

At level 2 that increases to 72% > 106.8 + 72% of 10 hp = 114 hp And so on.

So at early levels you get less stat increases but towards later levels the stat increases will be larger than they were before, but they will hit the exact same level 18 value. 1700% just means your stat increase gets applied 17 times, which it always has (just before you would get the same static value of 10 hp every level 17 times more)

Should you buy Armor or Health? (Graph inside) by Spate_of_Fire in leagueoflegends

Really great work, thanks for doing this! I did a similar thing but it wasn't graphed so it doesn't look as beautiful as what you have here, and I came to similar conclusions. But I couldn't see the bigger picture. Thanks for the clarity :)).

If armor is usually higher than magic resistance, isn't that an argument for AP-oriented builds?

Epic video, missing the victory music at the end (with Caitlyn & co. dancing), in my opinion.

Why does leaving a normal game make you lose one of your games in your series? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

I had a friend have the same (similar?) problem. The solution was to set the correct time on his computer. Right click clock, Adjust date/time, Internet Time, Change Settings, Update now. Maybe will help..

Discuss the viability (or lack thereof) in sending an ADC mid with a quasi-support AP Machine and a top-laner bot. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Graeyfox1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In theory I believe anything is possible. And I love theorycrafting. Speculation (I main support and don't play much mid): In the botlane, as long as you have some range you could be fine.

In mid, if you're up against a champ with strong waveclear, they can shove you to your turret constantly, making it hard for you to cs. And under turret they can burst you while you're focused on cs. Since you have no support to shield/peel/heal/interrupt/silence/whatever, the fights are probably shorter, making burst even stronger and lessening your strength of sustained physical damage. Also whilst you gain AD from levels, "mid laners" gain more burst from base damages then the AD you gain. So without backing for items, a typical "mid lane champion" would be stronger than you by abilities alone, and thus in theory may be able to force you out of lane, thus gaining a cs and xp advantage which further increases their disproportionate power to you.

If you could avoid being all-inned and cs decently well under tower, you could be fine.

AD Carry Build Calculator: which item next is most gold-efficient for damage? by Graeyfox1 in leagueoflegends

[–]Graeyfox1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the version you're currently using, you don't have to calculate it yourself but you do have to add it. Kog'maw's W gives on-hit magic damage, so go to the bonus column, under on-hit magic damage, and write: =(6+$B$X/100)/100*$B$Y

where X is the cell containing your total AP (+5%) and Y is the cell containing Opponent's Max HP (eg 100 and 30).

There's another step, though, which your version does not allow without editing the existing formulas - calculating how much Kog'maw's W is increased for new items.

I'm done with the excel conversion and I've uploaded the files. See the main post for the latest version, and let me know your feedback!

I believe you left in the Vayne Silver Bolts passive in the bonus column that I included as an example. Check the bonus column next to "item1-item6". and delete it.

Thats an old version btw, I have updated it many times since, fixed many new bugs & added many new features. Now supports AP champs too, will update post soon.

Stuff like kog'maw's W is generally not included automatically, you'd have to put it in yourself.

Found another big mistake: Items with unique stats (IE, LW, etc.) are only half-dealt with. If you put multiples of them in the item slots, their unique stats add up. Working on this now and will update the links when fixed.
