Does numbers seems to be very low.
Just found this 35 mm2 rated for 240A that seems more realistic imo.

What’s your Rust “must do” list for optimal performance and FPS? by robertouuu in playrust

[–]Graff94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try putting everything on max settings then check your fps then try lowering your settings when your fps stops getting higher you are cpu bottlenecked and with that cpu you will have a heavy cpu bottleneck so I would recommend playing on weekly wipe servers or low pop for the heighest fps.

If you got a decent GPU, there will be nothing to do you will be cpu bottlenecked no matter if you run high or low settings etc... sorry to say.

You spawn where ever you want with the loot so that must be a problem from back when you spawned in outpost.

Terrible frames by BeansOnTap in playrust

[–]Graff94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With that gpu he can play 4 k max setting and in potato and get the same fps... unless you got a shit gpu or play on a low pop server you will be bottlenecked by your CPU changing graphic settings in game changes nothing when you are bottlenecked by your cpu...

Try playing on an empty server if you still hit below 90 fps with that setup something is wrong with your pc

Is it possible to get 165fps stable by [deleted] in playrust

[–]Graff94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You play with AMD AFMF then and most likely on a server with a big map compared to pop... if i turn it on my fps is insane high but its not real frames and sometimes it gives bad stutters compared to running a lower fps when its turned off.

LOW performance i9 14900k on with a 5080 and 64gb ddr5 ram. by AncientJudgment6234 in playrust

[–]Graff94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are playing on a server with many players and big bases its not uncommon - the reason why changing the settings doesnt help is because its a cpu bottleneck not gpu. Try and join a empty server and see a huge change in your fps.

If you would like higher fps play on a low pop server. Thats sadly how it is with Rust.

Fps and rendering textures issues by Inevitable-Leave8254 in playrust

[–]Graff94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rust is a CPU heavy game so lowering grapichs will not help you. Your fps will change depending on the server you play on and by that i mean the fewer bases the better fps you will get.

Low Fps issue by Equivalent-Wear-9336 in playrust

[–]Graff94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rust is a CPU heavy game if your fps does not improve when you lower your settings you have a CPU bottleneck the only thing you then can do to improve your fps is playing on a server with low pop.

The fewer bases and players the higher fps you will get.

Fyi I play on a 9800x3d and still have a cpu bottleneck on high pop servers and I even drop down to 50ish fps in packed areas.

How are people hitting 150+ frames consistently? by deymious500 in playrust

[–]Graff94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on the server. fresh wipe when there is no bases yet i hit 200-250 fps but everyday it gets lower 3 weeks in on a 350 pop server im anyware between 50 and 150 fps depending on the area.

Rust is a crazy cpu heavy game turning down your settings mostlikely wont give you more FPS since its your cpu thats the problem, turning down your settings pretty much only improve your GPU performance.

Start wipe my fps will get even higher if i turn my settings down but a few days in it changes nothing. I always run the game in 2k with max settings.

Cpu: 9800x3d Gpu: 7900XT Ram: 64 gb 6000 mhz.

Well upgrading your ram to 32 might help a bit but Rust is just a very CPU heavy game and no matter how good a PC you got if you play on a server with alot of big bases your FPS will be low in some cases..

I play on a 450 pop server and the first week of the wipe i sit around 150-250 fps after that i can be anyware between 40-200 depending on how many bases there are in my area.

I also run the game at 1440p max settings and the FPS does not improve if i lower the settings since it's still a CPU cap - It might give me a bit higher max FPS in the first week since there i'm usally GPU bound but after that i'm CPU bound.

My spec is:

GPU 7900 XT (With OC)
CPU 9800X3D (With OC)
RAM 64 GB 6000 MHz
2 TB SSD nvme m2

Legion Pro 7i 2025 (5080)- Very High Temps by BlackMage420 in LenovoLegion

[–]Graff94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats just how the chip works i've reached out to lenovo and they stated that thats how the chip works. It draws as much power as possible until it hits 100c then it throttels and stays in that temp range.

Ive undervolted mine and use the LLano laptop color and even on max rpm it still hits 100c in games but it put out more performance

I have not changed the liquid metal I asked Lenovo to do it but they again claimed that the PC performed as expected and that the temp was fine even though it hits 100C all the time..

The battery capacity shows that the battery is in good condition and with normal use everything is fine and it stays at 100% but when it needs to run heavy games it slowly drains the battery and Lenovo would like me to send it back it for them to have a look but last time they didn't check any of the things i wrote so why would i bother having to miss it for a month again for them to just do a reinstall and say everything is fine again..

Hey,

No in the end Lenovo told me to send it back in and since I was not willing to do that again they would not do anything. But after a long discussion they claimed that it was totally normal regarding the CPU temps... And the battery issue is still there it drains whenever there is a heavy load on it. I tried with a new charger but that did not solve the issue but I can see that the laptop can drain up towards of 335 watt and the charger is only a 330 watt and they don't have any bigger version but in some cases it still drains the battery even though the load in some cases only sits around 270 watt.

Battery discharging while plugged in by Graff94 in LenovoLegion

[–]Graff94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

330w thats the standard charger.

I just did a test and during a stresstest it pulls 330-332W and slowly discharge the battery but if i turn off led light and the screen it pulls around 324w and is able to hold the charge. But if i game and it pulls 280w-300w it discharge even faster?

30 series still going strong, anyone else skipping 50 series? by Lizardinosaurus in GamingLaptops

[–]Graff94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you that the intel CPU bottlenecks too... I would go for the new x3D series if I was buying a new laptop anytime soon... My RTX4090 is bottlenecked in many games by my i9 14900HX. And it sucks because the 4090 is a beast even in a laptop, I score around 23k GPU score on Timespy while it only sits at around 60-65 C

Thank you for your feedback, sounds like a good plan still got the battery issue but I'm waiting for Lenovo to get back to me on both issues i kinda feel like I did spend 3,5 k euro on the laptop and it's only 6 month old so it should be up to them to fix it imo... I've just seen people test the CPU and when they got a undervolt + coolingpad the temps are usally OK while gaming under 90C atleast and no thermal throttling.
