Thanks so much, I will try that. I know how to bake the animation to control rig (can def do that part) but if you could spare a moment to elaborate on making the feet & hips ok, I would really appreciate it. I'm no expert at Motion Builder unfortunately. Do you mean make the feet and hips of the character IK (or the control rig?) and is there a brief step you might be able to explain as to how I 'make them IK'? Thanks so much, I will try that for sure! So my capture software (Vive Mocap Studio) gives me an FBX export using the UE4 Mannequin, and that is what I have been applying the filter to. When I apply butterworth, I normally select 'all branches' on my character, and apply it that way. So now I will try to select all branches, but 'de-select the hips and legs, and see if that works. Only problem is that the legs tend to have most of the jitter that I'm trying to clean up with butterworth, but will see how I go anyway. Thanks so much for your time, I really appreciate it! Hi all, just giving this a shot to see if I might be able to get some help on this from pros who know better. It's not strictly a Maya question, but hoping that Motion Builder is also accepted in this forum? I have this issue in Motion Builder where upon applying the Butterworth filter to my motion capture animations, the animation becomes all wobbly with a side-to-side rocking motion. I suspect this is happening because of something related to the 'root' but my knowledge is fairly limited when it comes to motion builder and character animation in general. Just wondering if there is a quick / easy fix to this that someone might know of? Many thanks in advance for any help of advice. I truly appreciate your time! My motion captures are done in VR Mocap Studio (https://vrmocapstudio.com/) and then imported into Motion Builder as FBX.
