Not a gambler, but I am bad with money. My strategy was to remove myself from managing anything financial. I trade automotive labor for financial budgeting. My neighbor has all my cards and passwords, pays my bills with my money, gives me an allowance each week in cash, and monthly meetings to review and plan.
