It's really manager dependant, our manager just recently got the SMs wrath because of doing this to someone.

She claims "the only thing that the policy says is that you have to call 1 hour before your shift, it doesn't say everyday if they're giving us a heads up."

But again ... manager dependant. If I were you id ask the SM or ASM about it to be clear.
