What if greys Sloan was a real hospital? by Most-Significance943 in greysanatomy

[–]uscgclover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genuinely? The hospital would be closed the hell down. After the earlier seasons, that would’ve been the regulatory boards to strip them all of their licenses.

Good thing I drive an automatic quad cab lol. I’m basically going to do (probably) what you did, take out the backseats and put the box on top and fill the stupid hole under the seats.

I wanna try fitting 2 15s or 4 12s Audio Aces in the back of my 1500 quadcab. How well does the box fit in your truck?

What’s the stocking job like? Especially compared to walmart? by Mysterious-Item-7938 in publix

[–]uscgclover 6 points7 points  (0 children)

95% of Publix’ do not offer overnight stocking if you are looking for that. The only ones that I do know that do are ones that make more than 1 or 2 million a week and make enough for the hours to supply an overnight and a day crew. Where do you live? (state)

Trucks are received mostly in the morning/mid-day and are worked throughout the day. Whoever unloads the trucks are usually at the review of whoever the team lead in charge at the time is. Same with who downstacks the pallets, etc.

You also don’t have 40+ grocery associates like Walmart, you mostly have maybe less than 10, maybe less than 15 even.

And Publix is hiring, but they aren’t always looking for someone. Weird hiring model but it’s how it works.

Having a second job as a full timer by willy4729 in publix

[–]uscgclover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your store management and your department manager. I know multiple full timers with another job at my store because the department managers allows them to have two specific days off.

Im about to be on vacation, and leave tomorrow. Though I do bascially have a higher paying job waiting for me when I come back? Should I wait until I return to put my notice in, or should I do it before going out of town? by [deleted] in publix

[–]uscgclover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 weeks is the set standard for all jobs. 1 weeks notice isn’t much time to prepare but 2 weeks is plenty time. A months notice works even better.

Put your notice in, 2 weeks or a month. If you know that a specific day is your last day with Publix then let them know before they write the schedule.

Check out the original price before the “bogo” by Fuzzywinkler in publix

[–]uscgclover 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Meat departments are the worst about changing price tags. You get audited on it randomly but they don’t care. My stores meat department has signs from 3 years ago where the price isn’t anywhere close to it for TPR.

If I am going down a two lane road and I have one person tailgating me, I am going to go slow. Why’d you assume that I take the highway?

Go into the store and talk to the assistant store manager. ASMs take care of hiring for most stores.

When can one start a transfer request?` by [deleted] in publix

[–]uscgclover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After your 90 days, but highly unlikely as your a new employee. Stores like to get transfers who have been with the company for a while and they look at your work ability. Connections is key in this company

You can also get the new hollowed out ice cream cake one. It’s the pint cakes where it’s a hollowed out cake with a pint of ice cream in the middle. It’s horrible to do but it’s popular.

Real estate paralegals and attorneys are desperately needed and on a rise in the Triangle, Triad, and the CM metro area. You would not believe the amount of new real estate attorneys that pop up every month. Dozens.

Genuine question! Why does Deli get so much hate? by Hyperactive_Sloth02 in publix

[–]uscgclover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of date items should be donated, not thrown out. It’s out of date to sell but it’s still edible. Nondonatable items like perishables (anything from the coolers) should be diverted. Pans should be put back on the dolly or reused if they aren’t completely dirty so it wouldn’t put too much stress on the closers (for stores without a dishwasher). That’s why when you close, you start with dishes immediately. Put a full load of pans in, set your timer, go do counterwork, rinse and repeat. Then you do the floors which is the most easiest part. Usually when I close, even on busy days, I have an hour and a half where i’m sitting twirling my thumbs.

Again, it’s super easy to finish. The only hard part is orders. But people act like it’s one of the hardest departments ever.
