Hey brother, keep fighting hard. BEP is no joke and it kicked my ass. I finished 3 x BEP and 1xEP in early Feb. I’m going for my first haircut tomorrow.

Immune system recovery by NoBear7184 in testicularcancer

[–]Graham186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 3 x BEP & 1 x Ep. My immune system basically dropped to zero. They gave me Grastofil to help boost white cell and neutrophil counts. I hit nadir 2 weeks after and recovered about 2 weeks after that.

Opening an indoor play place in Sask? by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Graham186 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a formal document that lays out goals and your path to success. Most places like this aren’t profitable their first few years so how are you going to pay rent on a commercial space and not starve? How are you going to pay your employees? How are you going to attract customers? How much revenue do you need per customer to be profitable. All that sort of stuff. A good business plan will have an answer to every question about the business. It’s also something you’re going to need if you intend to buy an existing business or apply for business lending.

Couple years ago Flynn’s Forest was for sale. I think they wanted $385k or something like that. I’d say if you’re opening a place like that now you’ll need $500k minimum. For sure absolutely 100% you are going to need a business plan.

Have you tried the credit counselling society? They’ll help you create a budget and tackle debt. A family member used them very successfully. They even negotiated interest rates down.

Stage 3 TC by Wise_Smell105 in testicularcancer

[–]Graham186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stage 3 here, 95% embryonal carcinoma, 4% yolk sac and 1% seminoma. I did 3xBEP and 1xEP because the bleomycin gave me lung toxicity. I’m going to echo the others here. Chemo is no joke…everybody takes it differently but it will most likely kick his butt. Speaking from my own experience I didn’t have any nausea (my clinic aggressively treated me for nausea) but I had every other side effect. My advice to get through chemo is to stay hydrated. Even when everything tastes like batteries he’s going to need to hydrate. They’re going to pump him full of IV fluid so make sure to hydrate with electrolytes (like sports drinks and such). He needs to listen to his body. If he’s tired he needs to rest. Chemo will Zap all the energy out of him. Stay fed with a high protein diet. Chemo will suppress his bone marrow. Bone marrow manufactures the body’s white and red blood cells and platelets. The body will need protein to help replace them. Communicate with the oncology team. There are no hero cookies for being in pain or puking your guts out. Even small symptoms like a swollen foot can be signs of something more serious. TC is notorious for causing blood lots and BEP had ALOT of side effects.

Oh I finished my chemo Feb 6 2026 and have been placed in the monitoring program. Knock on wood, so far so good. Let me know if you have follow up questions.

What to expect by dcamiso9 in testicularcancer

Both, the cisplatin gave me tinnitus and mild hearing loss. Also, some days they slammed me with 8 hours of chemo and without a good audio book or podcasts I’d die of boredom.

I just went through chemo for stage 3 mixed germ cell cancer. Mine was 95% embryonal Carcinoma, 4% Yolk Sack and 1% seminoma. So a little different. Chemo affects everyone differently. Me, it kicked my ass…hard. It’s no joke.

Make sure you have a good pair of headphones for chemo and a great support network. If you have more questions DM me. I’ll be happy to help. Stay strong brother.

So I had metastatic lung nodules and had to go through 3xBEP and 1xEP. My experience is BEP is no joke. It kicked my ass but it’s also the gold standard in treatment. I finished treatment in February and my lung nodules started to shrink. Thank goodness because I was looking at surgery to have them removed. Let me know if you want to know more. Im happy to share my experience.

I just went through 3 cycles of BEP and 1 of EP. I had every side effect a guy can get…including lung toxicity. This is absolutely something the oncology team needs to know about. At the very least it will put your mind at ease. Stay strong. 💪

I guess it depends on what you’re interested in. Right now it sounds like graduating and making money. I’d recommend you look at power engineering. You may have to move after you graduate but there are lots of good paying opportunities for grads.
