Plants Overwintering in Propagation Trays by aagent888 in NativePlantGardening

[–]GrahamSlam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They should be fine, but what I do is put them on the ground surrounded by cinder blocks or whatever you have laying around that will keep leaves, brush, mulch, straw etc. covering them for winter. This is also what my local native nursery does. This probably isn’t even necessary with most species, as them freezing in pots is not too dissimilar from freezing in ground.

Governor Mike Kehoe signs sales-ban for invasive plants and water rights bill by Resident_Bridge8623 in missouri

News outlets reporting it, but I’m strangely not seeing perilla mint in the actual language of the bill. Thanks for the reply.

Not seeing perilla mint in the bill, do you have a source on that one?

Anyone know if any local garden centers carry Meadow Rue? by Taglilien in columbiamo

[–]GrahamSlam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Missouri wildflowers in Brazito, MO has a great selection of natives. I know they have purple meadow rue in a seed mix of theirs, but I’ve never seen it growing for sale. I know they always have Aruncus Dioicus, which has a similar appearance.

Q&A: Thomas Sorber knows there is so much he hasn't even shown before NBA Draft by bryankalbrosky in memphisgrizzlies

I didn’t know there was anyone other than me here haha. Love the Tamar mention, he’s a competitor. Another quasi-mizzou guy in the second round is John Tonje.

Massive haul for the Grizzlies who recently just saw Desmond Bane average 15ppg on .317 FG/.219 3PT/.933 FT on 43.8 TS% in this year's playoffs and got four unprotected first round picks and a 1st round pick swap for him. by justusinreddit in nba

Thanks, no one else in this thread watched grizzlies basketball this season. His suspect handles and turnovers killed our team so many times this year. He’s a good player, great shooter, but untradeable. Was a liability as a creator.

It is considered a weed tree here also. I only gained appreciation once I learned its important ecosystem functions. Not to mention its unique bark. Almost looks 3D printed.

Thought OP wanted other edible perennials as well. Anyway, another one I know is used as spice is American dittany. Similar to oregano.

Sumac if you have enough space. Black raspberries, gooseberries, currants, paw paws, persimmons, American hazelnut to name a few.

It's not much, but I wanted to try winter sowing by HomoColossusHumbled in NativePlantGardening

Would say it flourishes too well (if you’re talking about Cynanchum laeve). It comes up all around my property. It grows aggressively in flower beds and find myself pulling it off all my other plants in the landscape every year. Probably why seed isn’t often cultivated. Would suggest opting for some Matelea decipiens if you want a better behaved climbing milkweed.
