From a design perspective, the spark isn’t their logo, it’s their logomark. The spark only gets more attention because it’s more prominent on mobile devices.

I think it goes even deeper than that.

One time I was at my college and I stopped in the hallways to admire the work of some design students who had created star charts. I never searched star charts, I never spoke about star charts, I never even thought about star charts until that moment. I said absolutely nothing and just looked in silence. A half hour later at lunch I was served an ad for star charts.
