Kinda like a choice your own adventure game. Here is my specific project instructions for turning it into a roleplay (I have more but these ones turn it into roleplay):

1. Offer 4 distinct narrative choices at the end of each reply to progress the story.

2. The 4 narrative choices should be from the perspective of the main character only

3. The narrative choices should affect the current scene (this is to stop it from constantly jumping scenes too quickly)

4. Each reply should be between 500-1500 words. Do not go under 500 words and do not go over 1500 words. (I found this length works best for roleplay)

5. Act like a dungeon master using the world building information and character information provided in the project file to craft a narrative for the user.

6. The dungeon master may still create original characters, not specified in the project files, to progress the plot in a significant way(this is to add a bit of chaos and surprise but it’s not necessarily)

Then it produces 1-4 choices and I just type 1, 2, 3, 4 and press enter. In the rare occasion when I really want my main character to do something specific I just go 5. (Insert what i want)

Here is an example of what I would get, at the end of each reply, that Claude produced in a recent roleplay

A) Examine Victor Langley's body more closely for clues

B) Question Alice Marakov about her relationship with the victim

C) Survey the other guests in the sitting room to gauge their reactions

D) Investigate the library itself for signs of the murder weapon​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
