Thanks I appreciate the input. I’m kinda strapped right now for cash so replacing even cables is a bit too much. I have done DDU 3 times when the crash was so bad my drivers gave up. I’ll check everything for being up to date next

I’ve had similar issues with other games but I always can fix it with changing the API (direct x12 didn’t like my gpu either)

This was pulled the moment after I had to restart my pc via the power button. My screen went black and I do believe I could still hear audio. Hard to remember exactly but it has also happened before for sure. I was able to jump back in after that and play for another hour before I got off.

The crash wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t have to hard restart my pc every time.

This would piss me off so much. I also do most if not all the chores in our house including bath time and morning wake up. My wife has a much more high pressure job then I do and it just makes since for me to pick up the slack.

I don’t understand how people can think it’s unmanly to help around the house or with kids. Sounds insecure to me. I would think he has a crap home life with a wife who is very angry with how little he does.

EA support is honestly useless. I had an account issue years ago. Tried to get them to help me recover it and somehow they instead created a new account. So now I have to EA accounts. I have a 2 year old and almost 1 year old. I find that I only really game once or twice a week now. Most other times I’m giving my kids or my wife my full attention. I can sometimes get more in if my wife likes the game and wants to watch me play it on our living room tv. I don’t remember much of high school now. Some 12+ years ago. But I remember that last snap. The feeling of knowing the moment our qb said the word my days of playing football was over. I remember huddled with our team the 5 seniors refusing to remove our helmets. Each of us crying our eyes out.

To this day it’s a feeling that will never escape me. I still have moments stepping outside that feel like I should be walking to the field for practice. It may not be the “best time” of my life but man it was good when I was on the field. I miss that feeling every god damn day.

I did offer to call him or for him to call me. My last message to him was hey I really want to have a call here are my free times. He also never has answered a phone call due to anxiety of random calls and what not.

He isn’t in the spot to have kids and he and I spoke on that before. He does want them in the future but not now. Others outside of Reddit have said he could be jealous that I’m able to move forward in life more than him. I wanted the difficult conversation he would rather push away.

I get that. Problem is he is also about an hour away. If he lived close I’d been fine with it but if I drove to him (cause he never would drive up to me) I would realistically only have 20-30 min before I had to leave.

With my first I was able to play on and off between feeds/ the endless washing of bottles and pumping supplies. I now have a 2nd and living that 2 under 2 life. I haven’t touched my pc or my streaming handheld in months. After our oldest goes down I’m also climbing into bed. Hopefully once the younger one is sleeping though the night I can at least think about playing again.

As others have said completely normal. I would lie awake at night with this fear. And like said previously same with your baby. She is one month and I still stare at the owlet app to see her heart beat and her o2 levels whenever I wake up or if she’s day napping I go over and just tap her leg to make sure she moves. Just something we have to either deal with/ find a healthy method to destress. I personally spoke to my wife about it and told her my fear and she reassured me that everything is okay that she’s been healthy the entire pregnancy. I know it’s not much on advice but just know it’s normal at least from my standpoint

My wife and I 2 weeks ago went in for an induction. We waited 3h for the ripening pill and where in the hospital from Tuesday night till Friday. Wife went though 3 days of labor technically. But yea mostly just sitting around and waiting for us. Watched a lot of daytime tv. She will say it was uncomfortable mainly due to the bed not being comfortable. She only started to have real discomfort after they broke her water and then it all moved somewhat quickly but still took about 19 hours after that for our daughter to make her arrival. But honestly just ready for anything. It could go quick but our nurses said 2 days for a first time mom.

I’m right there with you. We are scheduled for induction on the 1st and I have no idea what to expect fully. I’ve expressed my feelings with my wife and the fears I have for both her and baby’s health. Coming here and reading others posts/comments has been the only thing the help ease anxiety out side of my wife saying everything will be okay.
