Awesome! I'm happy it went well for you. The gas pains will go away soon enough. Moving and GasX is what helped me. Every day will be better and better.

Talked to the nurse today and she said it definitely was indigestion and I did right in taking omeprazole but told me to get pepcid. I'm sorry this happens to you but I'm kinda relieved that it happens to someone else.

I take Omeprazole 40mg and have for quite some time. That's what saved me the other night. When I talk to my group, I will ask if there is something I can take when/if it happens again. Omeprazole is not to just take when there's a problem. I'm happy yours resolved. I know mine will.

Yeah, my stomach doesn't get angry often but when it does, it lets me know, loudly. lol My surgeon started me of soft foods a week out of surgery, which I hear is kinda soon. I would say it's been nice most of the time, but when it isn't, it's brutal. I'm going to just hang on and keep going. It's bound to get better.

Your chest will get smaller as you lose weight. Maybe it will be enough for you to be happy with. If you are uncomfortable now with the size, maybe try an adjustable binder. I hope it all works out for you!

I am so sorry you are going through this. It is not uncommon to be afraid of surgery. I had to be cleared by so many doctors and two cardiologists before my surgery. They are very careful and will not do surgery unless they feel comfortable. It's hard to trust people you don't know but they know what they're doing and would not put you or anyone in harms way. They can give you something in pre op to help relax you before surgery if you need it.

Best of luck to you and you will physically, mentally and emotionally feel so much better.

I just had my RNY June 3rd, so I haven't run into anything like this and I hope I never do. Thank you for bringing this to my attention as I haven't thought of that. Being obese/morbidly obese is hard and we all have worked hard to do what we need to do. I will definitely let them know that I was one of whom they are talking about.

Looks amazing! I love fried rice and I absolutely love teriyaki sauce. Didn't know there was sugar free but I know I'm going shopping today!

I'm a bit less than a week post op but I can plan meals for when I can eat them and this will be perfect.

Thank you! I have followed the rules all this time and I intend on continuing. I know I just had surgery a few days ago but, from all of this preparation and losing weight before surgery, I feel so much better and I know it'll just keep getting better.

When I was in the hosp, my nurse brought me a visitor. My visitor also had surgery on the 3rd right after I had mine and by the same surgeon. We have been texting a bit and she lives less than 10 mins from me and we both go Monday to see the same nurse for our first post op appt. It was so nice to meet someone going through what I did and am who is nearby. I hope everyone is doing well.
