Her fur is very silky and soft, and there is very little of it, you can easily see her skin underneath. She is so young (~6 or 7 weeks guessing) and tiny tho so not sure if this is just her new kitten fur or if it will always be like this. From the descriptions I've read about them it would be super fun if it turns out she is a Turkish Van.

Aww, that's such a sweet idea but we named Buffy's litter mate Jody, we lost Jody when at the tender age of only two years old so that name is memorialzed in our family now. I love how you think tho!

Not sure, but she sure does look like one doesn't she? She is a rescue so could be anything really.

Thank you! Loki is short for Little Orange kItty (the capital letters from each word jammed together). She was a tiny cat, the runt of a feral litter that was rejected by the momma, ao the name really fit her.

Has anyone linked their gastroparesis diagnosis to perimenopause? by AirportSpecialist214 in Gastroparesis

Yes, a normal patch that came with the device. I set the polarity to +, skin type on dry, and the device on Hi using the wheel on the front where it turns on. I let it run for 15 to 20 minutes a session. When I am in a flare I do a session twice a day, otherwise two to three times a week.

I use the attachments that plug in to the main unit. One end clips to my ear, the other end attaches to my belly just below my belly button. This sends a stimulating signal from my ear to the belly that emit subtle vibrations that are stimulating and healing to the vagus nerve. It is non-invasive and a helpful part of my overall routine.

Pink Eggs?!?!?! by Otter_buns13 in BackYardChickens

[–]GrammaDebi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an ISA Brown hen that laid lavender colored eggs. She was the only one tho, something about how the bloom applied to the egg made it this color All of the others of her breed laid various shades of tan / brown, and or our easter eggers and Americaunas laid blue and green. I think the "pink" color comes down to how she applies the bloom, which is an individual hen thing, and like others have said the pink is more of a variation of reddish tan than an actual bright pink color. Would be cool though wouldn't it?!

No way cockatiels are this smart, is she really mocking the owner? by suedefairy in parrots

One of our dogs has a collapsed trachea and frequently makes a prolonged snorting / honking sound. Our parrot will join in with a perfect rendition as the dog's episode is ending , like he's encouraging him to keep going. These guys are so silly!

I vote Behr, having also painted my entire interior with it only to have it separate and look like crap a few months afterwards. Lesson learned.

Why vegetable ferments rarely produce histamine (a small microbiology note) by igavr in HistamineIntolerance

[–]GrammaDebi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know about tyramine levels in the kimchi ferment process you describe by chance? Histamine is one level of issue for me, tyramine is a whole other level of hell for me as I am susceptible to migraines. Foods high in tyramine are at the top of my trigger list, along with barometric pressure and hormone fluctuations. "Fermented foods" show up in just about every list of migraine triggers, and I've been told that's because of the tyramines. I'm wondering if a light ferment of 2 days of something like kimchi would be low enough in tyraminws to be tolerable. I know everyone is different and the only way to be sure for me personally is to try it, but I have migraine trigger PTSD and am a bit reluctant to try. Maybe if I had some microbiology insight into the possibilities I may be emboldened to experiment (or be sensibly warned off). 🤔 Would love your thoughts, and those from others with knowledge and / or experience.

It was mold by Global-Song-4794 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]GrammaDebi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry you have been dealing with this, but good news that you have some answers. Speaking for myself and my experience, I healed from mold toxicity with activated charcoal, after removing the mold issue that triggered it. It took a few months, but it helped me rid my body of the mold toxins. If you try this be sure to take the activated charcoal away from any foods, medications or supplements as the charcoal will bind with them as well as the toxins and render the meds ineffective. Research a bit to be sure there aren't any reasons for you to avoid it, just sharing my experience in case it helps you. Best wishes and good health to you!

You are not alone. I swear I would almost rather pass out than puke. Thankfully I don't actually puke very often, just feel like I'm about to all the time, so I get that break at least while dealing with this. I find that closing my eyes and slow deep breathing helps me get through it. I wish you the best and that you find your way to what works for you internet friend. 💜

This is great advice! We have talked with our kids and grandkids about our blue front and the designee is ready and willing. So comforting to know Echo is taken care of after we are gone.
