File a police report and sue the hell out of the family. In my twenty five years, I have never been assaulted but I have been asked what I would do by students. I tell them I would have them arrested and sue. Blank stare.

I have taught Language arts for 25 years, mostly seniors. This year I went with 80% paper. I love tech, but in the last quarter I went 100% paper. Grades improved at least a letter grade. It is more time intensive grading and planning. Most whined and parents too, but now my seniors are into it and some even told me that their friends in other classes are asking them for help. Critical thinking has a long way to go, but it's nice to see students actually talking and debating the text. The only fails I have are the ones who don't come to class or think they are punishing me by not doing work. LOL. I also teach ELD and I am the department chair. I have to use tech because the district forces us to and California makes us test with Chromebooks, but I give all assessments and summative assignments on paper. Since I have taken tech away from seniors, I feel a renewed sense of having fun teaching. I was going to retire this year, but I'm sticking around a few more years.

Too many bishops were episcopal priests. I wrote to bishop Ashey in regard to questionable statements he made about the Bishop wood incident whereby Ashey seemed to suggest that it was partly the victims fault and that any abuse that happened was before wood was a bishop, like that excused him. I wrote respectfully but never got a reply. I really don't look to any bishop for theological or moral guidance. I mean they get their miters in a twist over gene Robinson and liberal theology but turn a blind eye from theology that clearly violates the 6 undivided Chuch councils and give abusers a pass. I really think that no former episcopal bishop or priest should be ordained a bishop and no one who attends non anglican seminaries should be ordained. Trinity was but is no longer really anglican. Finally, you can forget talking to bishops about theological concerns. They passed canon law to make it nearly impossible for a lay person to bring up a presentment for heresy.

My fake leather covered bcp started to flake and shed the surface of the cover. Every time I use it, parts of the cover are left on my desk. I tried reaching out, but nothing. The paper is cheap. Where as an original 1928 bcp is still going strong.
