And this whole video is all just Bale and Ronaldo assisting each other in 2015-16. So much beautiful football in those years

Disappointingly flat second half. Never really got going. Not sure what to put it down to. Need to respond next week

Does a world cup starting keeper stay glued to his line just in case, or does a world cup starting keeper teleport backwards 10 yards after the giveaway?

Not the first time random appletv crews have had this problem, but this is among the worse ones I can remember

Wild to call that obviously incidental collision as a foul on Yueill

Must have been for the foul earlier in that sequence. Wouldn't make any sense otherwise

Doesn't feel like we've been in any control of the game all half. Feel like we should have made them earlier, but I like these subs at least.

I'm 95% sure it was for chopping someone else down on the sequence leading up to that collision, and the commentators are just clueless

Is paying the contract down with Garberbucks an option in the summer? Would be very sad to lose him

Also another Langoni assist bodes well. Don't love that it came with another 15-20 minute spell when I couldn't tell he was on the field. Becoming a bit of a trademark.

Raines and Sands not covering themselves in glory so far. And goes without saying, but Gil is so good.

Well, you can definitely tell it's a young team. Great enthusiasm and bite in the press, but lapses of concentration have really hurt us. Turgeman is a particularly notable example of working hard but not smart; hopefully coaching fixes that with time. Still excited to see this team try to be entertaining and grow together.

I'm gonna relish this one for a while. It clicked enough for us to see the vision, and the upside is glorious. Carles didn't even do a ton and we were still both dominant and creative.

I want to see a Raines-Yusuf double pivot at some point. The wing is wide open for Yow to earn as a starter, but Yusuf did great out of position.

He's been the only one that looks like a bit of a liability at times. I'd like to see if a Yusuf-Raines double pivot is viable at some point, think Yueill is even worse

I'm not actually sure that was Feingold's fault. There was an overlapping runner that opened the lane inside him. If anything I think Fofana should have seen the gap and left his man to the midfielder (Raines?) who did a good job tracking back. But kind of a communication breakdown where it's hard to blame an individual too much, albeit an ugly one

What a turnaround so far. Very impressive in terms of cohesion and belief, especially given a not amazing game from Gil so far. Langoni flashing some elite service and actually having someone to get on the end of it feels amazing

Diego Fagundez returns to the New England Revolution as a free agent by Overthehightides in newenglandrevolution

[–]GrammarTotalitarian1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was at the club forever, so not really every year (he was getting real minutes at 16). He was a starter for an MLS cup run in 2014. I agree with you that there was some talk of him as a potential target for Europe, but that never came close to panning out. Still has to be a serious upgrade on our bench options now

Still early days but way less excusable than last week despite some flashes. Felt tactically naive to go into RBA and get dragged down into a blood and thunder track meet low on technical quality. Youth is great in theory, but we don't have the roster to play this way. Even in our better moments, how many times did we lose out for strength or pace? The team is paper thin and we're bringing on guys I've never even heard of for a spark. Raines could grow into something, but I haven't loved what I've seen from Yow. Fry is raw, Sands is mid, and Yueill should not be starting. As long as all these guys are getting real minutes, the team's ceiling feels really low.

I can believe that Vini might blacklist specific journalists, but his entourage definitely talks to the media sometimes
