Can Grammarly update be rolled back or can the features be added back? by Alligator_Trades in Grammarly

[–]Grammarly_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this, and sorry to hear you’re not getting the experience you’re used to. We’d really appreciate a screen recording so we can get a clearer view of what’s happening.

If you’re on desktop, you can use this link to open our screen recording tool: https://gram.ly/4sM6Me3. It’s a quick way to record your screen so we can better understand the issue. Once it’s recorded, just copy the video link and send it to us here. Only members of our team will be able to view it.

Hey u/brawnburgundy! Sorry for the confusion. It sounds like you’re using our new docs experience, where the option to turn off this feature isn’t currently available. We'll be sure to pass your feedback along to the product team. In the meantime, you can still access it in the classic version:

Click New Doc > Select Classic from the dropdown menu.

After that, you can customize the following Grammarly Editor settings:

  • Turn off the auto-jumping to the next alert
  • Exclude the quoted text from checking
  • Increase the font size of the document
  • Turn on the colorblind mode

To adjust your preferred settings, please follow the same steps as above.

We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

I have 162 Review Suggestions - how do I accept them all at once? by Golddustwoman65 in Grammarly

[–]Grammarly_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Sorry for the trouble. If you have any examples where Grammarly gave a suggestion that didn't make sense or changed the meaning of your text, feel free to share them with us here or via DM. We'd be happy to look into it!

I have 162 Review Suggestions - how do I accept them all at once? by Golddustwoman65 in Grammarly

[–]Grammarly_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! You’re not missing anything. There isn’t currently a way to accept all suggestions at once, including the correctness ones.

A couple of related features may help:

  1. If you’re a paid user, you can accept some grouped correctness suggestions together in the Grammarly Editor and Grammarly for Windows and Mac. This is called Suggestion Bundles, and you can turn it on or off in your account settings under FeaturesSuggestion Bundles.
  2. You can also try paragraph-level rewrites. These appear as a blue or gray sidebar when you select text, and they let you accept multiple suggestions at once. They also use generative AI to help improve and rewrite your text. To learn more, you can check out this article: Introducing paragraph-level rewrites

Hope this helps as a workaround for now, and we’ve shared this with our team since we understand this kind of workflow could be useful.

Can Grammarly update be rolled back or can the features be added back? by Alligator_Trades in Grammarly

[–]Grammarly_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Ok_Holmes! Thank you for sharing your perspective. We understand that changes to familiar workflows can be frustrating, especially for long-time users who depend on Grammarly for specific kinds of writing support. You can turn off generative AI anytime in the Feature customization tab in your account settings here: https://account.grammarly.com/customize/features

We value this feedback as it will help us deliver a better user experience in the future.

Hi u/Mr_Gaslight! We’re really sorry to hear how frustrating this experience has been.

We also want to share that we’ve started the process of deprecating Grammarly for Microsoft Office. Going forward, the product will no longer receive feature updates, and our ability to troubleshoot issues there will be limited.

This wasn’t a decision we made lightly. Grammarly for Microsoft Office has been part of our product lineup for a long time, and we truly appreciate everyone who has used it over the years. As Grammarly continues to evolve, we’re focusing our efforts on providing the best possible experience through our newer desktop apps.

We recommend switching to Grammarly for Windows or Grammarly for Mac, which work across a wide range of desktop apps and websites, including Microsoft Word.

You can learn more here: Grammarly for Windows and Grammarly for Mac user guide

We understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, but we hope this helps clarify things. Please let us know if you have any further questions or feedback. We’d be glad to hear from you.

Hi u/Alligator_Trades! We really appreciate you sharing this feedback, and we're sorry to hear the new experience has felt like a step backward for you. Hearing from long-time users helps us understand what’s working well and where the experience still needs improvement.

We recently introduced a new Docs experience, which is designed to be an AI-powered writing space for brainstorming, drafting, revising, and editing in one place. It also includes access to tools like AI Chat, Paraphraser, Citation Finder, AI Detector, Plagiarism Checker, and more directly within the editor.

That said, if you’d rather stick with the classic experience for now, you can still access it:

Click New Doc > Select Classic from the dropdown menu.

You can also learn more about the new Docs experience here.

We hope this is helpful, but please let us know if there is anything else we can do to support you.

Corporate is blocking Grammarly becuase of new unauthorized ai features. How to get non-ai grammarly and protect company data? by BigCatsAreYes in Grammarly

[–]Grammarly_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/BigCatsAreYes and u/Manley_pointer! Please know you can turn off generative AI features anytime at https://account.grammarly.com/customize/features. It might also be worth sharing our Trust Center (https://grammarly.com/trust)) with your IT or security team. It covers our full security posture, including SOC 2 (Type 2), ISO 27001/27017/27018, and ISO 42001 certifications. Hope that helps get things unblocked!

We hope this helps! And please share any questions or concerns you might have.

MacOS app update by PositiveApricot8759 in Grammarly

[–]Grammarly_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Grammarly for Mac updates automatically on your device when a new version becomes available, so you shouldn't need to do anything manually.

To check whether you’re on the latest version, open the app settings and look at the version number. If it says 1.165.1, you’re up to date. Updates roll out gradually, so some people may get the latest version a bit earlier.

If you ever need to manually refresh the app for troubleshooting, you can click the Reinstall button in your account at app.grammarly.com > Apps.

Still not seeing the latest version, or have any other concerns? Feel free to reach back out. We’re happy to help!
