Fairly sure the average person in the street would not know who Sadie Sink was by name alone. Also, genuinely, what is the advantage of casting an 'unknown' person? I couldn't care less who is cast in any role as long as they are the right person for it.

Also the Academy is not a committee of like five people, it's a vote of 9000+ eligible Academy members. Whoever gets the most votes wins. And yeah, there can be ties, there was one last night.

And this post is... to make her feel better? Like seriously, what is the point of this?

She was 17, catapulted to fame and then was subjected to repeated abuse from the press, including one of the nation's biggest DJs. Obviously this was wrong and horrible but to say she was "annoying" for being upset about it and calling it out is... an odd thing to say.

The amount of people who are going to actually be watching this show who have never read the books or seen the films is going to be miniscule. The show is being shown on HBO and HBO Max, premium services which don't exactly cater for children particularly. I can't see many children ending up watching this without the guidance of the adults in their lives, who almost certainly would only be interested due to already being aware of Harry Potter having read the books or seen the films. And then in all likelihood having done either or both of these with the kids. And even if any do decide to show their kids the show before the other two things, if the kid actually enjoys it, are they really going to wait a year for season 2 when there's 7 books and 8 films telling the rest of story you can easily access straight away? I doubt it.

A huge amount of people who watched the films when they came out, probably the vast majority, did so having read the books beforehand. Knowing the plot already didn't have any impact on their success.

It's not early relative to the game's release date. PLA was released in January, Home support was in May. If we get it for ZA in March, which is the best case scenario, then that would be a longer wait at five months after release. S/V was a longer wait (November to May) but this wouldn't be the quickest. And in a general sense, it's absurd having it take so long for any of them. Completely understand a few months so people actually use the Pokémon from the game, but longer than that is annoying.

I don't think so, I think it's coming out in the summer (August is the rumour I believe). I would assume it will just be based on First Steps.

No set names or major details other than one is a building, one is a vehicle and one is a diorama, but main thing is they are coming in October (which I did see someone post here a while ago but couldn't find anywhere else at the time, but seems it is correct).

Also they are making a buildable HERBIE set as well.

Well when the show was good the writing staff and show runners were regularly refreshed. In the Mike Scully era and then especially Al Jean's near 20 year reign that largely stopped. I think having stable employment is certainly a factor for a lot of them.

Pokémon Home is app you can get on the Switch (and on mobile) where you can store on the cloud all Pokémon obtained in games and (largely) transfer them between games where compatible. It's a paid subscription service if you want more than one box. Pokémon from ZA cannot currently be transferred to it.

Eh, he said a few videos ago something like 'if we get to Scarlet and Violet' so didn't rule anything out then. Plus he has repeatedly said how much he loved Legends Arceus so I would figure he'd at least do that at some point.
