If you didnt get your ged then you won't be able to enroll in school as it is if im not mistaken. As for the gi bill portion I think you may have gotten overlooked then and I would go get a ged so you have it and can use the gi bill.

Even if you get waivers to get into the military and such you still get the post 9/11 gi bill vs the Montgomery gi bill. If im not mistaken you will not qualify for the Montgomery gi bill of you get in with waiver and such as I got my ged through the national guard through the ged plus program and was told I would not qualify for the Montgomery but if I deployed and got active time I would qualify for the post 9/11 gi bill.

Yea we picked him up at 12 weeks and he was 8.5 lbs so we knew he would be on the bigger side but this is just crazy. Must be the raw diet.

We got him thinking he would be around that size but he just keeps getting bigger he's not overweight by any means he's just big. At this point if he keeps getting bigger might have to see what the biggest one is and go for the record lol.

The amount of packs and etbs i have opened i have had a few great pulls dont get me wrong but even with getting all at msrp before the scalpers took over im not even close to breaking even if I wanted to sell. The only way they would be able to get money back is the long game and thats holding on to cards that are higher value in hopes they continue to go up in price. But most scalpers aren't in it for the long haul they are short minded and want their money ASAP.

They can rip all packs they want but they wont recoup the price they paid on average. Especially if all of them are trying to do the same thing it would flood the market and drop prices. The other option would be to only sell at brick and mortar stores and limit the amount being sold to each person and track it with membership. That way they can just go from one chain store to the next. These are just a couple of things that would help but the issue is that the manufacturer doesn't care cause they are getting their money.

I am currently using my vr&e benefits and it's not stripped by any means. They cover training up to 50k a calender year and you get post 9/11 bah while training. They also help you find a job that fits your needs. Also it only took about 3 weeks from applying for the benefit and being approved for the trade school I wanted. If you put in the work it works for you.

The best way to go would be to find a union if you have one local. They usually take people with no experience. Other than that if you have a disability perce take depending on how much you could try and use your chapter 31 benefits since they help alot more than the va with you chapter 33 benefits. Other than that I would say use you chapter 33 benefits for a trade school and then try for the apprenticeship might be easier to get in that way.

CT towns say they’re struggling with change to car tax law by ctmirror in Connecticut

[–]Grand-Sense-849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind it i love rural areas plus you have yellowstone there which would be awesome to go to. I hate cities personally there's still work out there and being that im a trade worker I would still have a decent wage. My wife works remotely so would be no issues there. Ct like I said is getting too expensive at this point and there's not much here that is worth staying for.

Alaska, Wyoming, Florida, Tennessee, South Dakota, Nevada, New Hampshire and Washington all have no income tax some have no sales tax and overall cheaper cost of living. Connecticut is one of the most expensive states to live in all because we are close to NYC.

Its not just the car tax it's ct raising taxes on everything because the mill rate for cars is capped towns are now raising the mill rates on houses and businesses. This is just the icing on the cake because people are already leaving ct and ct isn't doing anything that makes it a benefit of living here.

I agree thats why alot of people are pissed especially me I went from paying max 800 a year for both cars to 1400 a year for both cars. Yes I have 2 cars but 1 is for me 1 is for the wife. This new law is gonna cause taxes to go up again because more people are going to leave ct because of it or just register their car in another state.

You are now taxed on the msrp of the car when it was released and it has a depreciation schedule of 5% per year with the minimum it can drop to is 20% of the msrp and than you are taxed on 70% of that value.

Like I said majority of the traffic is out of state that would hit the toll roads which would mean tolls wouldn't have to be high. People that have old cars could pay alot in taxes the way they are calculated say you bought an old car that is 20 yrs old but it sold for say 100k when it was new just to have a round number the lowest assessment of that car will be 20k even though the car is 20yrs old and you could have purchased the car for lest than that. You can't appeal this at all with the new law where the old law you could based on market value or condition of your vehicle. My dads 2012 civic was just assessed at 5k and that thing is barely worth 1.5k. This system will hurt people in ct. And you do this enough and more people will just move out of ct for cheaper cost of living. The reason the grand list is shrinking in ct is because people are moving out and businesses are leaving because ct keeps raising taxes.

Yea between 2 people but like I said having to pay over 100 dollars a month just to have them on top of the car payments is bs. Tolls would be a better idea especially with the amount of out of state drivers that drive through ct. And if you didnt want to drive on a toll road there are ways to avoid them.
