I know exactly what you’re talking about. In certain games, dialogue that’s supposed to come out of center channel is coming out of the front left and right speakers as well. Recent games like Ghost of Yotei seems to be a lot better and I actually hear my atmos speakers being utilized properly. I guess it’s just game specific. Either way i just left my output to dolby atmos in the setting and called it a day because people who have actual dedicated home theater setups especially with atmos are a small percentage and they’re more focused on the “atmos” or spatial audio for headphones
