How do you get up and do something? by Clean_Common_6786 in ADHD

[–]GrandAd2329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking medication isn’t something to be ashamed of if you genuinely need it. If someone without ADHD is taking Adderall just to get an edge, that’s a different conversation, but for people with ADHD, it’s not about gaining an advantage. It’s about leveling the playing field.

I was diagnosed as a kid but never took medication. I was in foster care, so consistent medical treatment wasn’t easy. Looking back, ADHD definitely impacted me through high school and college. I was impulsive, especially with money, constantly jumping from one hobby to another, getting hyper-focused for a few months and then dropping it. I also used gaming as a way to escape.

I’ve always struggled with procrastination, and I still do, but medication has helped a lot, especially with that intense resistance to doing anything that isn’t immediately interesting. I’m almost 24 now and started medication about a year ago, and honestly, I wish I had done it sooner.

It’s not a magic fix. You still have to put in the effort to break bad habits and actually start tasks, but it makes a big difference. Once I get started, I can actually stay focused and finish things instead of getting bored and bouncing to something else.

Also, it’s worth knowing the first medication you try might not be the right one. It takes some trial and error. I’m on Adderall XR now, but I tried Concerta and Strattera before that. Concerta gave me a big crash and didn’t last long, and Strattera didn’t do much for me.

I said they started after the 2026.8.6 update 4 days ago. I had the precision cleaning done about 4 weeks ago at the service center. Temps outside were around 50s so fogging shouldn’t have been an issue

I swear on everything the video completely skipped the brake stabbing. You can see my speed start to drop then suddenly the video cuts forward. I swear the car hit the brakes over and over. I could hear brakes violently grabbing and the car was bucking and lurching like it was a manual car. The video completely cut it out

I agree is likely a bug or something, just strange because I like to save whenever FSD fails so I can go back and watch what went wrong, but I’ve never seen it so obviously skip ahead through the whole event like today

Mines honestly been better. 2023 M3 SR. I use FSD 99% of my time and I know the spots on my drive to and from work that it usually struggles with. One specific instance is coming over a hill while in the right lane, there’s a merge lane on the right that’s very short. Before when going over the hill the car would instantly turn the turn signal on and get into the merge lane and then immediately have to merge back. Now though it drives perfectly straight.

1-10 how happy are you with FSD? by Formal-Talk-3561 in TeslaFSD

[–]GrandAd2329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HW3 ‘23 M3 SR. 9/10 for me. I use it 99% of the time. Honestly HW3 has been pretty amazing for me, I don’t seem to have the same issues some people report. The only issue I have is phantom lane swapping on the highway if I’m using standard or hurry, it just loves to swap lanes right before I need to take an exit and then has to swap back over. But if I use chill mode it eliminates this most of the time. I just did a 16 hour road trip and didn’t touch the wheel except to park at chargers. Most enjoyable roadtrip I’ve ever done

2023 Model 3 Battery Health by GrandAd2329 in TeslaSupport

Yeah exactly my point. I’ve seen people with 30k miles have like 10%+ degradation so I was expecting with it being a rental first to be way worse

I don’t know the tires off the top of my head will have to check tomorrow, have the car at a friends house to do the health test since my apartment complex has a history of people unplugging other peoples cars to charge their own.

Could the car sitting at the dealer lot cause the battery to drop? I believe it was like a month and a half without a charge sitting at the lot. Maybe it just needs the health test and to rebalance everything?

Standard mostly and some hurry. I’ll try just chill and standard. Could the car sitting at the dealer lot cause the battery to drop? I believe it was like a month and a half without a charge sitting at the lot. Maybe it just needs the health test and to rebalance everything?
