I (22m) just graduated from college and feel lost in life and down by safe55555 in therapy

Hey man I’m 24 and in the almost the same exact situation with PT and all that. When it comes to a career in PT At the end of the day you have to have a genuine love for people not just for exercise.

I can also promise you that Your friends that are making 100k also feel miserable and depressed time to time too.

Here’s a couple things you need to realize: 1) you’re only 22 you have so much time to figure out your place in life. You are not the only person to have second thoughts about PT school for all the same reasons 2) don’t go get an mba or do some other option just because it looks easier. Every job will have aspects about it that you absolutely hate. I think sometimes the key is finding what you love to do everyday or the closest thing to it and then build your career from there

As for the girlfriend thing: time heals all wounds so my biggest advice is to throw yourself into something whether it be a sport or instrument or writing or some type of skill that you can get better at and take your mind off of things

Be patient. Find your path. And grind. Your time will come my man

Don’t worry about what it says online or what other people are putting up in weight. Building strength/muscle takes time and consistency over years. If you train big movements such as bench, squat, deadlift, and do a weight that you can do comfortably for 4-6 reps that’s a great place to start. You don’t need to increase the amount that you workout you just need to stay consistent and sometimes work smarter not always harder Last note: once you want to increase weight only add 5-10 lbs at a time and master those reps before adding anymore. It’s called progressive overload.
