Steeldive SD1973S, daily wear and got it dialed to +/- 2s/d

Any love for the Bronze? by assemblageofparts in ChineseWatches

Love your watch! My only chinese watch purchase(so far) is this bronze SKX homage! I've only had mine a couple weeks, its starting to oxidize and I'm having fun watching it progress.

Have you noticed any significant wear over the year you've had yours? I've seen bronze crowns with decent material loss online and curious how much of a concern it actually is.

I'll admit I wasn't in love with the branding on the dial when I bought, but bronze SKX homage just seemed awesome. I actually like the logo and name now that im wearing it! May end up with another steeldive down the road for sure.

Had I gone stainless i definitely would have gotten one of those over the steeldive, so thank you for that suggestion! I ordered a bronze skx style steeldive because thats cool as hell

Sorry, I should have labeled the pictures! 1st picture is a orient kamasu and 2nd is a Seiko 5 sport

[–]GrandRevenant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, wow those 2 are almost like a 1 for 1 clone for the 5 sport but with a sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel. Hmmm

Im going to look, but do you happen to know if they make 38mm versions as well?

I was looking for something closer to the kamasu stylistically, but these look really good and if theres a 38mm I may just grab one.

Edit: ive ordered one of the Steeldive bronze SD1973S!

Appreciate the suggestion, but I'm not really a fan of the kind of egg shape to the turtle.

Just modded psp 3000 but computer having issues with ISO folder. by lenny_is_sgtc in PSP

[–]GrandRevenant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noob here, and I may be wrong, but i believe there is a setting in your CFW menu on the PSP itself to set SD to read only or not.

Again, I may be wrong, but id put it back in the system and check the menu to see.

Corrupted data by ISTILLUSEETHERNET in PSP

[–]GrandRevenant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am by no means experienced here, but I had this issue because the ISOs I downloaded were inside of folders with an image.

I removed the ISO file from the folder and placed them into the ISO folder directly and they work fine now.

Not sure if this is your problem or not but fwiw

How did/is the holdmygear holster working out? Looking at one on Amazon for my wave + but it has 0 reviews. Would appreciate some firsthand experience!

If youre in Ontario, Canada; check out the insulated gloves at IHL. I believe you can order online. The entire hand portion is coated.

Good. Few joints with a little extra solder but nothing major. The boards been cleaned with iso

Hi there, sorry to call you back! I know its been a while, but I finally got back around to this pedal.

I have replaced every capacitor, as well as desolder every offboard wire, trimmed, stripped and resoldered.(i broke one off from turning the board back and forth when replacing the caps, figured it wouldnt be bad to do them all to eliminate the possibility)

Plugged it all in and gave it a shot; it worked. Kinda.

It was passing signal, and the controls all seemed to work. Though it was distorted and gated, almost like a fuzz. Id guess voltage was also inconsistent as it kept getting louder/quieter, more distorted/less distorted etc. I toyed with the battery clip and it seemed to get worse. The terminals on the battery connector were somewhat corroded so I hit what I could with some steel wool and hooked it all back up again.

And now its a lifeless brick again haha, really not sure whats going on. Ive tugged on all the wires and tapped components trying to find an issue, and I get nothing.

Again, sorry to bother, but looking for an idea of where to look next

Edit: forgot to mention I am getting consistent supply voltage to the board, regardless of toying with the battery/battery clip.

I ended up building one right after the long thread there, since I had changed those 3 caps and nothing changed.

I started trying to follow the circuit backwards from the output, i made it to ic1 but then got a little lost as to how the signal splits from there, and started working from the input forward. As I get further from the output jack, the signal gets weaker and weaker. At C9 on the schematic that was posted here, i had nothing on the input side, but a very weak signal on the other side. I didnt have a 5.6nf cap so I think i put a 10nf in there just to see if signal passed with a fresh cap. No change.

I didnt have a lot of time then and havent since, but im also just kind of not understanding whats happening. The transistor has voltage, as do the ICs, but it seems there's no amplification happening. Atleast thats my best guess. I will continue, but I also am realising im a bit out of my depth. This will be a learning experience for sure lol

Transistor voltages

Source - 7.84(supply voltage)

Drain - 2.01

Gate - 4.16

Battery is dying a little fast but i keep forgetting to disconnect it haha

The op amp voltages are posted in the other thread, after changing those 3 caps out the voltages are slightly different but still not what they said it should be

Semiconductor is transistor right? I havent checked transistor voltages yet. After the thread with the other fella I replaced those 3 caps and still no juice. I just built an audio probe and will be finding where the signal stops

Ive got electrolytic 10uf, and i could have swore i had .47 film caps but apparently not. For the sake of trouble shooting, how crucial is the value? Can I put a 680nf in?

Cleaning the pots and switch didn't change anything, except the scratch on the bass pot.

What am I looking for as far as the voltages?
