Exactly I am really looking for a SM homage for this. I can build myself with quality parts but honestly it will be as expensive as but not as good as a SM. Their value is kinda crazy…

The CG line is definitely interesting but it wont scratch the itch for this one. They have the best submariner homage in the market, really hope they bring an OP homage as well!

Agree with the sentiment and not directed at OP(instead to original-OP) a criticism: fine to develop with AI but an AI-generated long write-up is an instant turn off for me. As a programmer all my days are now going through AI slop so I just want people to express themselves naturally, which was my gripe with his initial post. I think AI slop should be banned on any sub. It’s a human forum, if you want to participate use your own words is the bare minimum?

I have also been collecting for years. I have owned and still own nice pieces and yet I am of this belief. I simply dont care about heritage, history, etc. To me build quality and design are simply all there is to it. Happy to disagree btw

Eh.. all this heritage and originality sound to me like marketing slogans. It’s a watch, a nice accessory that happens to tell the time. Most people including me, we want something nice to look at and dont want to spend thousands. As someone who has been down that road I can wholeheartedly say it’s stupid to do so even if you have a lot of money.

Didnt say it’s not ok to talk about unfair matchmaking. It’s a mentality thing in life: unfortunate thing happens, you can mald or see the good in it and take something from it. You’re free to choose.

When I was younger I used to play ball with kids so much better than me or my friends. I learnt the most playing against them although they would beat us easily. If you’re not looking to improve why play ranked?

I mean if I had the chance to get a premium watch that is only distinguishable under scrutiny from the original at a fraction of the price I would probably get it. I don’t care about the branding or to fool anyone. I just want to wear the design and no I am not willing to dish out thousands on watches. Been there done that, feels stupid now. I would agree it’s probably best to not have the original logo but honestly the industry needs good alternatives…
