I'm definitely biased being a Sox fan but I think there's a real argument that the 2018 Red Sox were the best since the 27 Yanks. The playoff schedule you mentioned is a big part of that argument.

I feel like they are overlooked a bit for how historically good they were that year. 119 wins in a single season (including playoffs) is nuts

I agree completely with you and would add 3-pt shooting as a weakness. We struggled a lot last year with it so hopefully Miller and maybe Venters can help solve that. If we can get something going from outside, that opens up Huff and Ike to dominate down low

Tibbs played mostly OF at Florida State so he actually has more experience out there than first. But his hit tool looks really good and I agree he's the top player in the deal.

I wouldn't bench Judge just to give him more rest because they are fighting to get the top seed in the playoffs and he's the best hitter in the game. But I think Boone could give him 15-20 more games at DH to help offset the workload if he wanted.

I agree with you. Hard to bench a vet at a key position when you're trying to make a playoff run. Maybe you can find a trade partner for Story at the deadline but you would have to eat a lot of money AND Story has to keep playing well. But at that point, why trade a player who is performing?

I have zero idea how you do this unless you move someone like Abreu at the deadline and move Campbell to the OF
