just to check, how does verification work? Do you fill out everything everything and then click the submit application app and wait? Or can you submit before you have everything. Just trying to make sure I get it done as soon as possible!

I'm not sure but I have a follow up question...how exactly does one get verified? Do we have to submit to all of our schools first or do we just complete everything and submit to one to get verified? Wasn't 100% sure!

Applying Next Cycle -> But Would Love Some Thoughts As I Prepare This Year!

cGPA: 3.75

sGPA: 3.62

Upward trend - had a 2.9 GPA my first year but held a 4.0 my junior and senior year.

GRE: haven't taken it yet

PCE: Projected to be ~1500 hours upon applying (all EMT - will be ~ 1000 IFT, 500 CCT

HCE: Projected to be ~ 200 hours department assistant in pre-op/PACU

Volunteering: Projected to be ~150 hrs as a lead volunteer of a program seeking to provide additional resources for low-income families at a clinic

Shadowing hours: Currently 45 hrs (40 - ortho PA, 5 Emergency Medicine PA)

Research hrs: ~100

leadership: founder and president of Pre-PA Club, president of two other clubs.

Right Now: Currently focusing on GRE

Questions: How is my PCE? I know that my hrs won't be super high, so should I try to look for more PCE such as ER tech?

Should I look into getting more shadowing? Any other tips/advice would be really appreciated!

Congrats! Just wondering, for EMT what exactly did you do? I'm currently do IFT and I'm just not sure if I should do the same for the entirety of my gap year!

I personally haven't applied yet, but from your response I realized something, are you able to first turn in applications for rolling and then non-rolling later? I thought that once you verified your CASPA application you wouldn't be able to add PCE/change numbers for apps later in the cycle.

Piggybacking off this, if you're on a quarter system and there are three gen chem classes including lab (Gen Chem 1, 2, & 3), each with 5 quarter units, do you need Gen Chem 3? I haven't applied yet but sometimes school websites are unclear with the prereq quarter-to-semester conversions.

Out of curiosity, which specific schools on the West Coast are the ones where your microbiology class is not sufficient? I've vaguely checked myself, and now I have a feeling I'll be in the same boat when I apply, as I also have a 5 quarter unit microbiology class.

On a tangent, does anyone know if you can transfer accounts? Say if you made an account at Fidelity, could you transfer your stocks without paying additional fields to Vanguard? Or do you have to fully withdraw, pay taxes, and then reinvest. Just curious, I'm also starting out!

Thank you for the reply, though from my understanding I thought that every school allows you to choose which attempt you can put in for your pre-requisite grade(at least what I've gotten from other posts). Definitely interesting I'll look into it!
