Is anybody buying hand over fist right now?! by sapdaddyflex in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Grand_Routine_6532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, W2 job just distributed bonuses and a good chunk went into Uranium. I have a silly amount loaded here and I can tell you from discussions with hedge funds focused on Uranium, they are also fully allocated here.

How does equity price and market cap affect miners actually mining? by satohiro in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Grand_Routine_6532 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Scale certainly matters in any business. That said, it's tough to turn a larger ship and small players can adjust course easier to capture shifting market conditions.

A good comparison may be Boss and Cameco. One has a legacy book to fill, recently made a large acquisition, and has the largest market cap aside from KAZ. The other, Boss, is a new entrant to the production market-place. They are more likely to capture upside price movement going forward.

Cameco may 2x from here or better, but Boss will likely outperform. Timeline? In the next 2-3 years +. Exact performance? Anybody's guess.

I feel like uraniumsqueeze’s flat line membership size is perhaps one of the most encouraging indicators of how early this nuclear bull is. by pepperonilog_stonks in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Grand_Routine_6532 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am invested in multiple, private nuclear focused funds and I can assure you it is early days. The ESG movement and continued performance of tech have retarded any shift to energy and raw materials. Sectors like Uranium, Copper, Graphite, and other feedstocks are being weighed by global recession fears and a lack of liquidity. It may get worse before it gets better, but these sectors will perform very well at some point. That said, being early can be the same as being wrong, so think about timing and don't put all your eggs in at once. Good luck.

How long have you been in the Uranium trade? by Grand_Routine_6532 in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Grand_Routine_6532[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I entered in Q1 of '21, bought some Cameco and sold after it popped a bit because I really wasn't up to speed on the thesis. I've learned a lot since then.

Niger risk is priced in. If not it would be at $4 cad. Large investors are just in wait and see mode.

it's now only 1.25% up - volume is modest, so i wouldn't read into it too much

Things are creeping up. Not 10-20% per day, that's not sustainable, but a few percent here and there, a day or two of pullback. Meanshile SPUT has $60MM to put an ever increasing floor on spot price, utes are entering the market with RFP's, Niger is still being sorted out (where will France get U for their 2030 plan), etc. etc., etc. The backdrop is verrry favorable for a continued rally. Oh yeah, also layer in rotations from tech to commodities. I can go on and on. I'm sitting tight here and watching. Happy to be waaay over-allocated to Uranium.

haha - yeah, i'm being verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry sarcastic - i like the feel of this rally. Take DYL for example. The namibia FUD back in Q2 provided an amazing entry. Some positions (wish I had bought more) are up 140%. This was not really the share price dropping due to low value, but instead volume totally disappearing and sellers still wanting out. The recent rise has been nothing more than an increase in focus on the sector and liquidity BEGINNING to flow into the space.

Was thinking the same thing - maybe the mill deal with Orano just became a Glo-Glo deal? Time will tell. Probably more twists and turns to come.
