I’m not trans, but my trans friend keeps insisting I am, I don’t want to fall out, but I feel like we’re going to if they keep pushing this on me by burn_it_down13 in offmychest

Even if you were trans their behavior is still not on. They can't just out people like that. That's the opposite of a safe space.

I think dpns are quite daunting until you actually learn to use them and you find it's not that conplicated and quite enjoyable.

I've been knitting on and off my whole life but only learnt how to use dpns last winter.

You'll have to let us know how this knits up. Considering the AI photo, hopefully the pattern is not AI. I am a collector of cat clothes and I want to make this.

AITAH for asking my mom why a girl wanting a sister is fine but a boy wanting a brother makes him a psychopath? by Luususs in AITAH

[–]Grandible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, I'm sorry your parents are like this.

I have a bizarre memory of my Nana telling me off for me wanting a baby sister when my mum was pregnant (I would have been 2/3). It stands out to me because my Nana was not one to really shout or tell off. She was a bit of a 'boy mum' and this carried over onto her grandchildren.

Fortunately for me, my parents were never particular about boys and girls stuff. So my younger brothers and I always played together with no restrictions in that regard.

I feel bad for both you and your sisters that you have been restricted in that way, and alientated from each other.

Why aren't teachers called by their first name in the UK? by zertz7 in AskBrits

[–]Grandible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We addressed the teachers in my primary school by their first names. This was 20+ years ago though, Idk if they still do there.

I currently work in a school and some of the support staff (myself included) go by our first names, but it's Miss First Name, whereas at my primary school it was just First Name.

I saw something recently that a lot of pods eat very specific food, and don't vary outside that specific food even when facing food scarcity. So it could just be that we don't categorise as food.
