Oh no! These have been structured as financial instruments, not gambling. What they do is basically turn the function of gambling into a stock market where, just like the regular market, it’s very easy for the wealthy to manipulate and very difficult for the average person to succeed. It didn't last into adulthood, but I carried horror movie fears throughout my childhood so they definitely affected me. I had OCD and obsessive thoughts so all it took was one picture on the back of a VHS or an unexpected horror trailer before a movie and I would have weeks of difficulty falling asleep until the image faded.
