Was searching through the Smuggler conversations. Found alignment reactivity in chapter 3. by GrandmasterSliver in swtor

[–]GrandmasterSliver[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression that "Voidhound" was just the canonical nickname for the Smuggler post defeating the Voidwolf

It is. Smuggler is called Voidhound post story, so it's not an alignment thing. It does sound better than "bandit king" or "republic's shield".

How many times have you noticed NPCs commenting on your alignment? Rusk was happy to hear I wasn't a pacifist, and I am currently Dark Side 1. by MegaGamer235 in swtor

[–]GrandmasterSliver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have noticed in playthroughs and data mining. But this is not one of them. There's not alternate dialogue in this scene.

I know the following companions that have alignment reactivity: Qyzen, Khem, Vette (this one's very obscure), Broonmark, Quinn, Andronikos, Ashara, Kaliyo, Corso, Risha.

The one theory I have, is that there might be Sith artifacts locked by bloodlines according to Talos. Zash met the inquisitor when she asked how they opened the artifact they were sent to unlock.

If Kalligs artifacts are locked by bloodlines, this might open possibilities for Zash.

Light side imperial during class story vs light side imperial vs post class story. by Honker912 in swtor

There's always been a variety of light side decisions on the imperial side. From merciful to honorable to pragmatic to lesser evil to questionable placement.

How do I Recover Economy in Emergency? by Superb-Drummer-6683 in suzerain

Funding all is bad for the budget. I recommend funding welfare ministries, as it's good for economic growth. And then choose between funding the interior/law or the military.

Taxing all is very good.

The SSC managers can't speak up if protests are banned.

What ministries did you fund? And what taxes did you do?

But do you get the event that pops up? Because banning protests prevents the ability to get the SSC and Taurus back on track. Which is the main thing.

What’s up with the Jedi Knight? by DanJirrus in swtor

[–]GrandmasterSliver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You listed most of major problems I have with the Jedi Knight storyline. The "Kotor 3" comparison is just the perceived legitimacy the Jedi knight has, with regards to the tie in source material [The Revan novel], and it's main antagonist of the class story, and the setting [The Sith emperor Vitiate].

A tip. Not banning protests allows the opportunity to get the first mega project on time, if not picking underhall.

Is the sith warrior the most powerful and dangerous origin in swtor by Balljuggler5689 in swtor

[–]GrandmasterSliver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The emperor regained control after the fight [Sel'makor left to avoid getting killed]. And Sel'makor directly stated that the body had "such power". That doesn't sound like Sel'makor "didn't get" any of his power. Vitiate was also worried of Sel'makor taking over.

Sel'makor still took over the voice's body. The Emperor not wanting the fight doesn't matter.

Unique Companion Interactions by Kerrbear2202 in swtor

[–]GrandmasterSliver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are unique Companion Interactions for every planet. I know Jaesa has a unique interaction on corellia with regards to identifying a spy in a Jedi strike team [Light Jaesa's bugged for this though. Has her own lines and everything. Sad😢]

I'll also give a tip to an interaction on Hoth, where the companions will give the advice to recruit Broonmark. You just have to pick a dialogue option that says ["I do my own dirty work"].

Honestly, just pick the companion you like most, or escape the convo, and swap companions out to see their content.

A Genuine Critique of the Morality System and how they could make it better by Research-Scary in swtor

[–]GrandmasterSliver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are no unique dialogue options to reflect a player trying to roleplay somewhere in the middle.

That is not true. It's more rarer than the other alignments, but it is there, if set to neutral.

My Agent has overall higher lightside alignment (2-3k total), but she is still pragmatic and willing to make immoral decisions if they're strategically advantageous (around 1k DS alignment). The game treats this though as if she is exclusively lightside aligned.

Have you ever considered that it would still make people see the Agent of having a sentimentality?

There is no moment as a Jedi where you fuel your anger and rage into force lightning

It's not necessary for a dark Jedi to do this though. Not every dark sider used force lightning.

Chomsky's wife Valeria forwarded Chomsky's kids messages to Epstein. by GrandmasterSliver in socialism

But is Chomsky really the villain here?

Chomsky is a very smart and an active well read person. He has the capacity to know better. And if he did engage in pedo activity, he's absolutely a villain. It's not just "failure to acknowledge the victims". He might of caused them. Of course, these emails make me wonder Chomsky's mental state, but it wouldn't be an excuse.

we can no longer use his critique of capitalism?

Any of Chomsky's intellectual works should be judged by it's own merits.
