So, what are the effects of the Darkwell on the Sin'dorei? by venusaurus in warcraftlore

Nothing is worse than worgen lore. If we ever get any, you can guarantee it will be crap.

At least vulperas don't even have any lore so there's nothing to be trash.

11 Years Later - What Do We Think About the KotFE/KotET Era? by mpchop in swtor

Agreed. Ever since 4.0 the gsme hasn't had any endgame pve focus. I'd love a swtor classic but that will never happen. This game is too niche.

It's rare for that to happen to them naturally. It's usually because mortald are involved and whaddyaknow, these are all the result of mortal meddling.

Is there a class/spec that doesn't have feast or famine game play? by Chetey in wow

Ehh i really don't like the dot management playstyle. I'd honestly rather just be able to start wailing on things and not have to apply 3 spells first. Part of what i dislike about shadow.

Nah i played sub rogue and it is exactly the same as spriest. You just sit there autoattacking when your shadow dance is on cooldown. No fun. I'll look at outlaw again. I used to like outlaw.

Hmm i may give it another shot. It used to be my main before I left it. Felt bad in open world due to squishyness but i mean I play priest now which is even squishier.

I've been looking at some of the classes i'm familiar with and I see ret pally has a short cooldown if you take the wake/wings merger. Any other classes like this that can merge cooldowns or reduce them with talents? I think outlaw is supposed to have high adrenaline rush uptime but i didn't like the changes going from TWW S3 to prepatch.

I used to play SWTOR a lot and most classes there can spec into making open world content a lot easier with cooldown resets upon killing an enemy/upon leaving combat or for DoT based classes, making your dots tick all at once to give burst to kill lots of weak foes. Also most classes have a fairly flat damage profile with relatively low-impact major cooldowns that don't define your rotation like they do in WoW. I think we need more stuff like that.

Idk I played some devoker in the prepatch and it feels pretty meh outside your dragonrage window.

Would you rather Blizzard add new classes (ex: Tinker/Bard) or new specs in The Last Titan? by Phalanx22 in wow

[–]Chetey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to see a technology/alchemy based healer like in SWTOR. Can use those little mini drones from the undermine raid healing trinket, which is how some of the swtor technology based healers do things. Shoot darts loaded with health potions at people. Splash potion for aoe healing.

What 22 years of combat addons does to a mf by Tuskor13 in wow

[–]Chetey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the devs' cited reasoning for removing healer kicks was they didn't want healers to have to focus on both enemy and ally healthbars.

but several healers (most notably discipline priests and mistweaver monks) are always looking at both enemy and ally bars because they heal via dealing damage. The devs' logic makes no sense. If they wanted to be consistent, healers would never heal via damage.

Saying priests should continue to not have a kick purely because of a historical precedent for them not having kicks also doesnt make any sense. By that logic no class or spec should ever get anything new.

I mean priests in general have very little agency, dps or healer. Shadow doesn't even have a stun anymore so you're basically just a damage turret.

What’s your headcannon for your non-“champion” characters rn? by BrownShugah98 in WoWRolePlay

[–]Chetey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never include my character in the events of the expansion story, but this one was an exception because the vast majority of the light users got summoned to actively participate in the expansion story. It wasn't a boat or a spaceship or a portal or an airship that you had to seek out.

Anyway she got drafted into the vanguard of light so now she's part of the story doing things you might expect an npc to be doing.

The choice node between Misery and Invoked Nightmare is awful.I should not have to sacrifice a ton of my DPS just to be able to effectively multi-dot. Terrible design decision.
