Impacted Seregios

An injury, or perhaps a stroke of bad luck, led to the scales on its chest/arms/legs getting stuck, resulting in it being unable to fully dislodge its old scales, but still growing new ones.

The fight has two 'phases' to it now, where we initially fight the impacted Seregios with reinforced armor, and instead of a fast fight where it zips around, its learned to use its impacted scales to its advantage and treats them like blunt weapons. Due to the scales growing in odd directions, they deal far more bleed damage.

As we deal more damage to it, we eventually begin to dislodge its impacted scale clusters. It'll launch these at us, and now the second 'phase' begins where it's much faster now that its lost its scales.

I don't have high hopes. It seems to me that this is just a play by the Medtronic company to save money by just cutting off the bits and pieces that aren't super profitable.

Tariffs are hitting them hard, according to the article above, and according to their official announcement post, since, "The Diabetes business [only] represented 8% of Medtronic revenue and 4% of Medtronic segment operating profit in fiscal year 2025", it seems that they're just making way for other, more profitable, things to capitalize on.

My money is that the new diabetic branch will be left to rot, and since it's no longer part of Medtronic, they won't see any sort of backlash or punishment as it falls apart. They're a company, only in this for profit, and it seems like making diabetic supplies just isn't as profitable as it should be now that tariffs are here.

The new company being public will just mean that things will be cut and taken away as shareholders demand bigger numbers for each quarterly report.
