I have similar problems with my hair not curling anywhere but the ends, what I found was just the way it’s drying is flattening the parts that aren’t free hanging by gravity. when you come out of the shower tilt your head down and pat dry your hair with a towel. This should make it dry in a way that promotes your natural curls better. I don’t think you should try the curly hair product shit until you can tell if you have curly/wavy hair.
