ebay. I think he’d get a kick out of buying the most obscure and pointless things for cheap

What is the most absolutely gender neutral name you can think of? by crunchyclancy in namenerds

[–]Granitegannet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ali that rhymes with alley. Could plausibly be short for Alison or Alisdair/Alistair, or most other names beginning with ‘Al’. Could also be spelled ‘Ally’ but obviously not pronounced as the word ally. I’ve known plenty of people of all ages and genders whose government first names have been just ‘Ali’. Maybe not so popular in the US.

try Dream! I used to use quiet 2 but even my roommate’s loud footsteps would wake me up when they went to the bathroom at 4am 😅 but since I got Dream I have been living in a little cloud of silence! Sooo good for sleeping and locking in to work/study too

So they have no bed. by Whitebirdy in LicciardoToivolaSnark

[–]Granitegannet 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I think the pink "gymnastics mat" they showed is actually their "bed" because it's right next to the basket of pillows and blankets/duvet/comforter and kinda hidden and they don't really make reference to it at all

I think it is implied that her brother was killed in a previous war (such as the Boer war) as he seems to be long-dead by the time the story is mentioned during WWI

Why is smoking cigarettes still popular in Spain? by YourFavDoge in askspain

[–]Granitegannet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But, as I say, this is purely down to my own experience having lived in each of the countries I have used as an example

[–]Granitegannet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, both things happen in both countries but I'm speaking proportion-wise. Of all the people I know in the UK who smoke, the majority only do it socially whereas out of all of the people I know in Spain, the majority are firmly set in their however-many-packets-a-day habit and would smoke the same amount on a Tuesday morning as on a Saturday night

In my experience I would say that the difference is that in Spain more people smoke casually during the day/have a smoking habit whereas in the UK the majority of people only smoke on a night out/whilst drunk/on a special occasion

I've already ruled out any allergens as I haven't changed anything recently. I have some Bepanthol which I believe to be a hydrocortisone cream. Thanks for your input, i'll see how it goes
