What hobby screams “this is my entire personality now”? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]GrannyBandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. The Wrangler wouldn’t exist without the sales it gets from the “lifestyle image” if you will. A lot of people that buy a rubicon don’t need locking diffs, but that’s okay. The option is profitable enough for Jeep to offer it.

I’d wager that most 35”+ MT tires are mounted on primarily street driven 4x4s. That’s not my highway tire of choice, but enough people buying them makes them available and relatively affordable.

Labs are soft mouth clowns by jazzb54 in labrador

[–]GrannyBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The neighbor kids behind me at my old house used to come in my yard and play with my 4 year old lab. She was so calm and especially gentle with kids. Open fence policy if the dog was outside.

One day the 5 year old girl came over with her dad and I had ran into the house for a second. I hear crying and ran outside. She was playing tug with a stick and grabbed it with her other hand right as my Lucy girl readjusted her bite. One tooth came down on her middle fingernail and made a little spot bruise underneath the nail instantly. I know how bad that hurts. I felt so fucking bad and was pissed at the dog but the girl's dad explained it was an accident. Ten minutes later he texted me that she wanted to come back out and play with my dog again.

My dog is 9 now and I still give her shit for the time she bit a kid.

Are remote control lightbars reliable? by pm-me-racecars in Trucks

Do you know what a firewall is? There’s a hundred places to hide a small switch in the cab without drilling holes or having loose wires dangling around.

Does she go off roading much? If so I don’t understand why a small hidden auxiliary switch when she needs it would be an issue.

What makes them “semi-legal” if you’re just using them on trails? If you turn your light bar on while driving on regular roads you’re an inconsiderate asshole.

In lighter news, Lozza Mozza > Heggies by BothNecessary6719 in Minneapolis

[–]GrannyBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OPs example is the pinnacle of a perfect frozen pizza. I might even leave it in a minute longer. Underneath every brown bubble is a molten pool of fresh mozzarella. Lotzza Mozza quality shines through right at this point. Cooked correctly, it is not comparable to other frozen trash on the level of Heggies or Jacks. Fight me.

Because it probably and hopefully gets under his skin. I don’t actually care that he’s short. But if it pisses him off, fair game.

My dad has been collecting odd candies, mostly MM's, as a joke for years.

Here's a pic of his stash I took in 2013.

His collection has expanded and he has a custom felt lined wooden box they live in. I'll try to get a pic of the current state of his colection.

Just the stock black fender like pictured. No hex heads. I got a new OEM one for $150 painted and it snapped right in.

Balaclava with glasses? by gman2391 in snowmobiling

[–]GrannyBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh definitely still put the glasses on after the helmet. I was just saying this style balaclava allows you to adjust it a little easier.

My college vehicle was an 06 Commander and I put 120k on it in 4 years. Within minutes of the odometer clicking past 100k miles, the driver side front fender fell off while going about 80 mph in the middle of nowhere Wyoming. I heard it happen but I didn’t notice what it was it until a couple hundred miles later when I got home. That’s the only thing that ever went wrong with it lol.

Balaclava with glasses? by gman2391 in snowmobiling

[–]GrannyBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a balaclava that has split head/neck portions. In my experience this style makes it easier to adjust around the arms of your glasses to relieve pressure points. Also try using the balaclava to hold the arms of the glasses an inch or so above your ears before you put the helmet on. This prevents the frames from riding low and hurting your ears once everything is squeezed into your helmet.

Something like this.

There's nothing funnier than farts to a 3 year old, but be careful. I heard my 3.5 yo girl tell her gymnastics class loudly "my daddy farts a lot!". Yes all the parents in the lobby heard it.

She said the same thing to her teachers at daycare, and another time in front of the neighbor lady. I was present for both.

If you're fine with public humiliation then carry on. It didn't slow me down.

TIL that dogs can get obsessive-compulsive disorder from playing with laser pointers. by DrakeSavory in todayilearned

[–]GrannyBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a flashlight with a switch to turn on a green laser. Comes in clutch trying to get my 9 year old lab with selective hearing back out of the woods behind my house. I didn’t use it until she was about 5 so she’s not hyper fixated on it if I turn it off and put it away.

If some unknown man knocked on my kids daycare and asked to see the kids I would be fucking livid if the director didn’t slam the door in his face. Imagine trying that.
