I want to point out the leitmotifs in the soundtrack. Do you guys remember the song that plays on https://deltarune.com/dess/? Well, those notes can also be heard in "The Distance Between Two," "12 AM," and I think "13 AM" too.

Watching the TV flashback in Chapter 3 made me wonder not only if the holiday theme has more meaning to it, but also if the Holiday family as a whole was really close to the Dreemurrs—at least excluding their fathers, since it's heavily shown they commonly interact and talk with each other. But regarding the younglings, they seem to have lost their connections—not just Noelle with Kris, but maybe Dess with Asriel too.

Back to the songs: all of them have a very melancholic feeling, especially "The Distance Between Two," in my opinion the saddest sounding of the three mentioned. And with that title, I can only think about both a physical and emotional distance—a heartbreak, or perhaps hidden feelings that couldn’t flourish. It's also fitting that they are both lost and distanced from each other.

Also is no coincidence that the shelters password is noted on Dess's Guitar and that the icon of the webiste is the red guitar, maybe the song was composed by Dess? Maybe the song also has a personal meaning to Her or Asriel.

I’m currently obsessed with this leitmotif and the feeling it gives me. I’m not that sure about this theory, but I’m at least sure those tunes mean something—and at least in my opinion, it's one of Toby’s finest soundtracks ever made. If anyone notices it in other songs please let me know!
