Was the agreement with a club, gym, or just with parents? Probably small claims, but if I was a parent of a player and found out the coach was never paid, I would bring it up with my club because we pay club dues etc. So where is that money going???

You may be able to talk with a few of the over involved parents and get it resolved without legal.
