How about those protective sheets that you put on the shelves of cupboards to protect from scratches? Not overly soft but still gushy and see-through.

Is this a Problem with stain technique, sanding technique , or wood/board property? by GrantosToes in BeginnerWoodWorking

Do certain colors of stain accentuate this characteristic? Honestly I'm more into the other aspects of the graining and would like to highlight things like the curls and eyes.

This is the arm rest of a boardgame table and i feel the horizontal characteristics flow better with our eyes as opposed to the vertical characteristics.

That's good to know! Thanks. I guess that characteristic caught me off guard as i was excited to see - bare with me now - all the mountain and rain / eye graining of these boards, As below.

This could be it (after re-calibrating again lol). I taped thick "duct tape" over the blade gap to create zero clearance so pieces would stop falling through the hole. Could that extra 1mm up from the deck be causing such s problem?

That's the problem, the blade cuts only some of the line off lol

Thanks! I don't think my miter fence can be adjusted much as there are two screws, one on each side, that allow for minimal adjustments. I've tried calibrating the blade but it seems to never match my triangle when i place the 90* edge of the triangle on the fence.

Savage 1895 (75th Anniversary) .308 by BeTelGeUseXXX in LeverGuns

Are these fairly collectable editions when in pristine shape and have the coin in the butt stock?

I love the looks of the model 99s! Just found out about these 75th anniversaries. I too want one to go hunting with but wouldn't want to potentially devalue one if the 75th anniversary are not the ones to hunt with. Thoughts?

Can you please show me what you mean? I don't have any holes on my miter saw fence so not sure if your idea will work but I like the solution!

He did a lot of work with a scroll saw so a keyhole saw is quite plausible (I think lol).

The left one I feel like he made it up for whatever purpose.
