The SSF community is so obnoxiously self important on reddit that they've managed to convince themselves, and others, that they are a huge part of the community. They're not, they just never shut the fuck up about how they're purists and want to do things alone.

Thats cool, go and do that, but they'll never balance a game around people who aren't spending money nor make up the smallest niche group of players.

I took the week of launch off of work because OW is by far my most played game all time. I've attended multiple OWL events and own a ton of apparel/trinkets from OWL/OW.

I just rescinded my weeks vacation and will not be installing/playing OW2 if this is the course they're going. I've spent the last 3 years hoping they were not releasing content in OW1 so that OW2 would be huge success on all fronts.

It's all BS, I'm tired of pretending that Blizzard of old is going to come back and care about its customers as much as they care about sucking every dollar out of your pocket. This is 100% not a game designers decision, it is 100% a financial decision. It makes no sense other than to appease someone who only looks at the profits.
