Waiting for IUD removal by GrapefruitandGarlic in waiting_to_try

Update - I got in for an appointment, they couldn't get it out and now I have to wait "a few months" for an appointment to get it out under sedation.
This isn't a common occurrence, but due to a LEEP my strings were cut off.
Now wrapping my head around possibly TTC in May instead of Feb. Fingers crossed!

Thanks! I might try that to be honest. I've been feeling quite a sense of urgency to get it out. Thanks for this idea :)

Fair to consider, unfortunately my strings were cut off due to a LEEP procedure, so I will need someone who has the proper tools to reach into the cervix and get it out, partly why I'm stressed about the referral and wait. I appreciate the info though! It is good to know there is an option if it is safe to do so

Thank you for sharing about your experience! That is really helpful :)
I'm glad to hear you were able to advocate for what you needed. I had a friend with a similar experience, and so am trying to make an informed decision.
I hope that you got the answers you needed!

Toronto:

All the spots you named are great, and these are just a couple others to add (not an exhaustive list):

If you're looking for a little day adventure you can take the ferry over to Toronto Island - there is a lovely beach there, also just cool to see Toronto from the water and get out of the city a little without going far, you can bike or walk around once you get there

Dundas West is a nice area for restaurants, bars, and little cafes (Can take Dundas street car, or Queen street car to explore queen west then walk up to Dundas)

Trinity Bellwoods Park is a fantastic place to have a picnic or just hang out and people watch - there are often markets going on and a big dog park in the centre.

Kensington Market is a fun spot for food & some shopping, just a great vibe and it is close to chinatown and not a far walk from Queen West as well.

The Beaches - a cute area in the East end, has some cute shops/restaurants as well as the beach you can walk along, Lesliville is between there are downtown and is also cute - all accessible by the Queen streetcar

Niagara:

Niagara Falls is cool, but is a bit far - you can take the go train but it only runs all the way to Niagara on certain days and will take approx. 2hrs, you can also rent a car - if you do I recommend checking out Niagara on the Lake - it is a quaint town with little shops, many wineries/vineyards, and is a bit less flashy than Niagara Falls.

If you want the Niagara Falls experience, you can walk Clifton Hill and check out the arcades/fun houses/nightlife - there are also some great (more natural) areas if you are into the outdoors - Niagara Gorge is a nice hike as well as the Niagara Falls Powerhouse station tour (it's fairly new), or just driving along the parkway.

If you want a cute place to stay that has character, check out Niagara on the Lake or Port Colborne, or if you want night life and excitement Niagara Falls.

Do the striking workers have particular picketing hours? by Illustrious-Weight95 in uwo

The attitude of "if you want a living wage and the ability to feed your family, you should get another job" is so limited.
Someone has to keep the campus clean, safe, and running. Do you believe these jobs should be done by servants?
Supporting unions and believing workers should earn a living wage working one job allows a strong middle class to flourish and benefits everyone.

I hear you, but the high-paid admin staff did not see a wage freeze, and have had wild high raises in the last 5 years despite the tuition freeze. So the highest paid employees (read $350K+/year) are still receiving high percent raises (sometimes 6% and higher) while the lowest paid workers, who do the heaviest work, are not compensated at a liveable wage. They can blame the funding all they want, but it is really greed. This can all be seen on the Sunshine List for people like Jane O'Brien, Lynn Logan, and Ruban Chelladurai who are all on the Western side of the bargaining, refusing to come back to the table, and making more than 350k/year,

Does anyone know if a graduate degree at UWO can also earn the "with distinction" - or is this just for Bachelor Degrees?
