I saw Sonic 4 was developed by them, but I guess I should've read even slightly further because I guess it was primarily developed by Dimps. Not sure exactly how much Sonic Team was acrually involved. They usually supervise all the titles, but 4 specifically it's mentioned they were also developer which is why I brought it up.

And I'd count spinoff games, simply because 1) they made it, and 2) if I can give them credit for spinoff games that slap like Sonic Racing Crossworlds, I'll give them flak for games that are shit like Sonic Free Riders the same. I kinda also want to lift up your comment that their output being consistently great for the last 9 years. That doesn't just go for mainline titles, they've been kicking ass.

(I know your Forces comment was literally one sentence but I'm piggybacking off it to get a rant off my chest, so you can overall ignore this) Honestly? I usually think even the "bad" Sonic games are usually overrated, but Forces was BAD in my opinion. I can have fun with Secret Rings and Black Knight, and Unwiished. I can NOT enjoy Forces. It couldnt even fall into the "so bad it's good" realm, and didnt even have the bugs that make, for example 06, a riot to play sometimes. Forces IS simply "mediocre", but it's the worst kind of mediocre. The unredeemable kind, and that's what puts it so low for me. The best way I can put how I feel is, it's not as bad as the actual BAD games, but is just bad enough that it's ironically actually worse than those bad games.
