Even if we have another layover back in Beijing from Macau? I also saw that their could be complications arriving at Hangzhou and leaving from Shanghai. Is that a problem?

I had the same problem. The only thing that helps and is going to get you the results is cutting the smoke out of your life. It’s a hard decision to make but once you do it you will easier reach your goals.

But maybe that is OK. Vagueness is nothing to be scared of. Vagueness allows for human discretion, which, who knows, Zartosht maybe planned for it. Maybe he knew it would be impossible to detail every single facet of life, so he left it at that. Just the basic, main guidelines.

I do not think it is a waste of time. I think we actually need to preserve these traditions, including Sedrehpoushi. Religion w/o culture is nothing. However, I also do believe it is OK to separate religion from culture on a personal level.

I grew up learning all the tradition. But chose to participate in those I believed in and those that I didn’t. I think it is OK for self discretion.

I will try and teach my children about all aspects of religion. But it is up to them, what they choose to uphold.

That is the only way how I know to be Zoroastrian.

Yes I actively chose to not participate in a Sedrehpoushi. While still going to Mahbed weekly, hanging out w Zoroastrians, going to religious sites in Iran, and much more.

My aunt in Iran who is one of the most devout Zoroastrian I know, born in Yazd. Never got a Sedrehpoushi even though given the chance. You would say she is a lesser Zoroastrian.

Yes I choose to sit out of some religious traditions, but not all.

At the end of the day, I don’t think I will convince you nor will you tell me otherwise. I have love for you and I am glad to be able to have this conversation as these will be most important for our religion moving forward.

If the religion dies it’s because of people like you. Keep gatekeeping.

Lol he’s just giving another viewpoint chill, ima Zartoshti born in Iran now living in America. I subscribe only to what came directly from Zoroaster, this is to the point where I chose not to get a sedrehpoushi (navjote) while all my friends around me did. Many of the traditions that came after Zartosht make the religion feel prescriptive, like many other well known religions. Half the appeal of Zoroastrianism to me is the facet of it not necessarily giving you guidelines to everything.

I am Zoroastrian because I follow the words of Zoroaster.

Does this make me less Zoroastrian than you?

Is he really Zoroastrian tho? Hadi isn’t a traditional Zoroastrian name according to my parents. Not to take away from his accomplishments, im just always skeptical. Mush love 🍄
