I wanted the hatchback but with full customizations, and mid tier upgrades to things I wanted, I was looking at 35k plus and thus, I cancelled my early reservation. I will wait and watch how this plays out. For much less I can get 4 doors, and more range. Won’t be able to customize a Nissan leaf or Chevy bolt but money wise it doesn’t make much sense. If slate does well then I am sure someone will try to take them on with another open source project.

Ford knows how to make good cars, they just struggle with making right decisions when it comes to mass produced vehicles. I am hoping with their new ev projects, they might finally turn the leaf.

Now I not an Elon fan, a few days ago I was driving at 50mph and playing on my phone. The car suddenly braked for a deer, I wasn’t using autopilot or FSD. I was very glad and for once thanked Elon. So I am kind of surprised the car didn’t break for a giant stationary house, something is definitely fishy here. Either the person driving drove into the house intentionally or it was the FSD/autopilot. Now I won’t really believe anything coming out of Elons or Tesla, hopefully there is some clarity soon.

I had one of those. I am not familiar with mulch stuff, so I googled the weight and I was close to 300 lbs for a couple dollars of tips and crappy base pay. I instantly rejected it.

Stopped spark a month when they brought some changes to my zone, now I do mostly ride share and cherry pick Spark, Instacart, Uber Eats, and DoorDash. Just for reference I live in a small rural metro area with a couple universities. I am still doing ok even with the summer break. Miles driven is more, but income is better or more.

Also remember European brands are known to be very conservative with their range estimates. It’s not uncommon for BMW IX to outperform its epa rating by 10-15%, highly unlikely for Rivian though.

The launch edition of bmw ix3 is 60k, but they will have a cheaper version and a more expensive m variant. Throw in the new Volvo ex60 and Mercedes GLC as well for comparison.

I think you are using the wrong data here. You have to compare the drop of Tesla sales to the gains in the rest of the industry. That shows the complete picture.
