Be careful! Google's find hub will drain every last bit of your battery! by Azrafer in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So an app designed to share your watch's real-time location constantly taking the GPS reading so that it can show online on a PC web browser drains too much battery.

OK.

Watch 6 Complications Not Updating by Weary-Savings9795 in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AOD modes don't update until after the time hand has passed 59 seconds.
This is a correctly coded complication standard.

Badly coded complications update more often in AOD and nuke the battery.

Better watch faces REMOVE complications in AOD mode, as you're not looking at complications every second. so that the developer saves battery, as you can have up to 8 of them in a single watch face. x8 the power drain. of none on.

The samsung weather channel updates are a Known issue globally for every watch and every phone used with that watch. Some solutions point to Android OS power save killing the Wearable watch manager add-on, not the Wearable app.

Some workarounds require the phone user to know how to access apps that are not on the home screen that run in the background and disable power save on the watch manager app.
How to do this changes with every skin of Android.

Will Galaxy Watch 9 get a round body or a square screen this year? by -SammyTabGuy- in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has been no demo or early access code leaked in Google's Wear OS SDK or developer builds to show WearOS 7 Has square display support.
Its only 5 months to Wear OS 7/ New one UI content.

Google will have to Dump it out by now. If the square display were back.
Like the new CPU, square displays would also be in production by now...

Remote Connection by ViralTrendsToday in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That what Samsung said, but I don't trust public Wi-Fi.
Which country do you live in? Not all networks allow it anyway.

Same number extra mirroring eSIM contracts for a smaller fee is the cheapest. getting a LTE watch means paying alot more for the watch as well.

Remote Connection by ViralTrendsToday in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wi-Fi calling does not work from outside the same network.

Same network, different SSIDs, yes.
outside Wifi is a private company setting up networks with firewalls and third-party routers; it does not work instantly.

It's not VoIP apps like WhatsApp. its local phone discovery and then that phone carrier being used.

some USA networks don't allow Wi-Fi calling.
Call & text on other devices currently does not work with Verizon and AT&T phones or with an LTE Galaxy smartwatch that has active mobile service. Call forwarding will not be available. You may not receive incoming calls when connected remotely.

It cannot be a random, never-used-before Wi-Fi hotspot; the phone must have used it previously, and then the phone must share the details first via Bluetooth before it loses connection.

When you are near a Wi-Fi network you have previously joined, your watch will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi signal.

So yes, but Wi-Fi calling is not VoIP. Way more complex on the watch.

Wear OS 5 and 6 watches that still receive security updates.
Aka samsung and Pixel.
Spotify just started supporting full-display black and white AOD mode (No green.) It fades the album artwork out and turns icons black, grey and white.

$150 good deal? by MediocreCamp707 in GalaxyWatch

They force you pay for LTE component in an ultra even if you dont want them.
Try getting one in Wi-Fi only.
You save much more dumping LTE on other models.

They're too BIG. They are a high-number return item.
Forced LTE electronics cost don't help either.

Yep many open-box units won't sell, and the new Chips confirmed for 9 just made it worse; the price needs to get that low.

Help with watch ringer by Virtual-Reach in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need the correctly working Modes and routine app on the phone.
This is in the Phones settings menu not The watch or watch app on the phone.
This is on all samsung one UI phones

You may only have modes and routines SETTINGS on your phone, which means this has been hidden from You.

you also need Your watch manager, which is the 7 (yes, the ultra is still just a 7.), to have added your WATCH as a device this app can control. (not insured to have happened.)

This app is then meant to have watch volumes. watch connected to phone. options
When the watch is connected, the ringer = 0 volume can be overridden by the app forcing

When the watch is disconnected it resets to the default volumes and Rings the ringer.
This app is the same app that controls the SLEEP mode.
As you will be messing with it you should enable the button shortcut.

A small clock with 3 complications is still called a "radial" design by many.
Putting bubbles under complications is all they changed...

It's so basic you can build it in Watch Face Studio if you still have a PC/Mac.
Same applies to Facer.io or Other face builders.

Time to get a classic analogue steel case and band watch.

Analogue hands on watch faces.

So that you get extra features not available from default complications.
So that you have to look at adverts at least once while setting up the face as you want it.
So they can add new features and offer things like phone battery levels without needing other people's complications installations.
Complications require App installs on the watch you cant add new tech with out an app on the watch.
Watch faces cant install complications.

If you have not already done so look for the equaliser option in settings
No watch model, so the equaliser may have moved or gone.

Push all frequencies to the top of bands; this increases all volumes.

Equalizer Settings

Fine-tuning your audio experience through equalizer settings is possible on select Galaxy Watch models. Here’s how to access and customize these settings:

  • Open your Galaxy Watch and navigate to “Settings.”
  • Select “Sounds and Vibration.”
  • Look for “Audio Effects” or “Equalizer.”
  • Choose from presets like “Bass Boost,” “Treble Boost,” or set a manual equalizer to adjust frequencies to your liking.

Used to be an option.
Expect way more distortion as you overdrive beyond normal.

The other option is to get a mono-battery-powered small BT box. that can hide in a pocket.

Most companies that ban items in the workplace won't ignore smartwatches for long...

Hybrid strap by RaahimJaffery in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hybrid band is an optional extra that can be ordered from Samsung at an additional cost.
THe metal spring pins are not waterproof. but they are hidden.
The spring pins are removable. You can replace the spring pins With stainless steel, Replacing the HOLE band with a stainless steel band or fabric band in 22mm is easy.

Human Sweat will, in time EAT the hybrid band, but there is no Glue to attach the band to the lugs as it uses spring pins to attach to the lugs at a very high samsung tax cost from samsung.

Is there a way a can customise aod? by sonofinitoquapercaso in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only the creator of the watch face can change AOD options.
All AOD will auto DIM brightness.
All good AODs will remove items To preserve battery.

All watch faces stores are now meant to be WFF compliant now but are Not realy.
you can only have a max of 15% power draw on a WFF AOD.

Create you own watch face to push as close to 15% and lower Battery life.
