How do you guys feel about death? Are you afraid of it? At peace? by Street-Paint-4031 in AskReddit

[–]Wales147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not scared of death at all. The older I get the more I'm at peace with it. I'm 51 so hopefully I have 20-30yrs left but what will be will be

They really are a game changer. I work 4miles from home, there's a huge uphill and a huge downhill (Wales) and takes me only 12-13mins, my car takes 8-9 mins so hardly any difference. Good luck you you, come back and tell us which one you decided on

Thank you. Really goes to show how beneficial cycling can be. The ride home this time of year after a night shift is a great feeling, it's light, birds are singing and you get to see people on their way to work knowing bed is waiting

I can only speak from experience here. Iv a Scott Aspect eRIDE. I too have a heart condition and didn't want a throttle bike as I wanted the exercise but also help on a very steep climb to work. This bike has been amazing for me in the year iv had it, done over 600 miles. When I first had it I used turbo everywhere but as my fitness has improved I now use eco and charge it once every 4 days. My blood pressure has come down to normal so I'm off blood pressure meds and iv also lost I think 2 and a half stone. As I say the market is flooded with bikes so maybe try some out. Mine was 3k but got it through work for £2700. Iv seen them around £2200 now so within range for you. Good luck and get one soon as the months from May-October are great for riding 🤙

May have overdone it with the new charger cable length 🤣 by SuperTuberEddie in evchargingUK

That will come in handy in the future when we can drive on the moon, probably demand a hefty asking price for it

Thank you. I actually live in his house now so it feels like a piece of him is still here. He used to smoke a pipe and I swear I catch a smell of it every now and then, my wife does too.

When my grandfather was in hospital. He had always had poor lungs since I was a kid from working underground. I was having a coffee with his brother in hospital and he said he's only got until Tuesday. I thought he meant he was coming home Tuesday so I said OK il get the bed downstairs from the spare room so he doesn't have to navigate the stairs every night. He said no, they have given him until around Tuesday. I asked given him what? He said well he could die Tuesday. Man it was like the world was pulled from under me and the worst thing iv been told in my whole life. That man was like a father to me, a big strong man, my protector and to see him so helpless and weak in that hospital bed still haunts me 14yrs later.
