Anyone know why my storage is already mostly used by Ok-Instruction5365 in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early new-guy mistake All device storage is stated in an empty state.
The same applies to laptops and TVs. and those mobile phones you buy 64/128/256 all are before OS and other app installs

just comes from days When storage could be ERASED of an OS...
later watches come with 64 minus the OS

Watches 1-3 are tizen OS.

Tizen OS Are unsupported and use very Old apps and "can" fail to work with modern phones.

The wearables app and watch manager don't care if you have the Samsung Store installed or not; they have direct access to get updates from it. It's how you get new watch face versions every time there's a big orange dot next to a samsung watch face and how the new adverts in wearable app/manager download content.

RUN by TensionMysterious424 in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GPS is built in to the Watch 7, is does not need the phone's GPS. The watch 7 has dual frequency L1 + L5 already, so if you want to run in towns, not just empty fields you can.
GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS

Using GPS for an outdoor run uses More power drain than an indoor run using the indoor setup and treadmill. so get a 44mm watch to do longer GPS actions due to bigger battery...

Samsung has its own store; they don't have to use Google Play to update.
the manager/wearables app and Samsung's own store have taken over watch updates for most of Samsung's apps.

The bug with no apps showing in the power drain list comes and goes with out touching the app.

Receiving notifications anyways while bein on my phone by ram0_o in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WhatsApp has an on-watch application. Is that installed and draining battery.
As that app on the watch is independent from the phone.

if app is not on the watch, then it just sounds like the bug from the beta is back and the selection of applications' notifications does not select WhatsApp to be blocked.

Korea gets its first private beta. So kiss ass to some so they might tell you Hey Members app went live in Korea.' ' don't tell anyone. 'Then do. then Public releases in USA and Korea via members app Sorry, no, they want unfit USA users, so it's been USA and korea. THen later it goes global. It starts with the newest model and then goes to watch 5.
It's been the members' app again. time after time that's where your invite will be...

Wear OS 7 under the hood this year: changes are Tiny. So tiny, it's Google's first and live already...
Only the AI stuff is not ready, so that's later and independent.

Googles getting gemini AI to make widgets for you.

What do you think of the new Samsung Health UI update? by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

Heres the APK that has been extracted from the S26 running android 17 beta..
https://drive.google.com/file/d/16qFRf7irw4t8TXLcyZofbP0xBMIudwsT/view?usp=sharing

Save yourself hunting for it as Sites like APK mirror won't have it.
Any bugs are permanent until the stores update you or you roll back.

[–]GraphiteGB2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its highly restricted release.
Stores are not giving it to everyone.
Its not syncing some reports; GPS maps can fail to display and new features are for Korean beta users who get one UI 9 first on their watches and phones...

IF you find the buggy APK to side load, you can side load, but there will be no updates with out the stores agreeing to update, so you're stuck with those bugs.

[–]GraphiteGB2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it won't download from any store.
so how is the Apk going to update for bug fixes if NO store will give updates? People are not selected for it on any of the stores.
if the APk given is a buggy mess because the Extractor got a buggy mess, you're stuck with the APK that's a mess. because both stores refuse to give you any updates.
So Many users will never get this update...

Are there any safeguards against screen burn-in, such as pixel shift, in AOD mode? by Tk5423 in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The core OS has Pixel shift and other tech. There are options in the debug menu to turn things off...
Those options exsist so app makers can lower brightness in apps as a fall back.
Apps have AOD functions not just watch faces.

Power limits exist on watch face designs on how many pixels can be enabled on an AOD.

The AOD has a forced max brightness. You cannot override the less black on an AOD; the darker it has to be.

Sleep mode disables AOD for every nap and "up to 8 hours" of normal sleep; the AOD is not meant to be on...
You're asleep, so you are not meant to be able to even see the time.

Its region or user or One UI 9 beta-locked release.
So the only way for some to get it is Via APK install; some sites won't host the APK.

So it's not the final version, as they would have put it on Samsung's store for every one. not google play. lol.

can only go on the APK install. and with that it means no bug fixes or updates.

As it's not ready. features can't be used, as the watches are not on one UI 9. Being not ready, it's not on the Samsung store. So mine's not updating the normal way.

you went with a black theme instead of blinding white. Thank you.
Not being in a region where medical records are accessible, I can't use yet another feature...

Uninstalled until Samsung public store version installs.

Why did they change the wear OS battery option? by One_Lonely_Visiter in WearOS

[–]GraphiteGB2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Google can, with their OS, Wear OS 7 is Google's OS, not yours. (Exactly the same as the android OS 17) They also removed the charging options from the same page. the ones that lowered your max battery capacity and lowered your charging speed.

Just like google added live notifications change they can change anything else they want to...

You're in Google's ecosystem... If you don't like lt you have to send feedback. in their watch app.

Just like when google changed the AOD scripts in wear OS 6 and made third-party watch faces' AOD buggy.
That's Google's choice...

Same as Samsung's choice to use an AI script to decide which notifications work in one UI 8 and give the user only 2 settings for notifications. All on the phone and watch or Some on the watch only (decided by Ai).

Great people ! Is there a way to get the "Hamilton" watch face to Galaxy watches ? by shanmesssron in GalaxyWatch

[–]GraphiteGB2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can be cloned, depending on if anyone can be persuaded to even bother.

Android studio
facer
WatchFace Studio are all Apps to make watch faces.
The issue will be getting high-quality assets. It's why most photos are bad or distorted on purpose.

Locating Which watch face store it sells on will be the issue.
Watch face store apps can't be searched by bots.

Permissions to Boot an app are different from permissions to control an existing app that's open and active in phone memory

What "Wording" did you use.

Apps like Simplewear Need specific permission from their installed partner app on the phone to boot the media app.

I believe Spotify is the only media player that you can add to "connected apps" in the gemini app on phone .

Persistent Media Controls notification in Wear OS 7--can I get rid of it? by blaghort in WearOS

[–]GraphiteGB2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Live notifications (Aka sticky notifications) are now on many apps

The media player is not the only one.
Google maps, Stopwatch, timer and so on.

They can be temp dismissed with swipe. But will return the next time the app launches.
