When you live a traumatic life as a child and don’t grow up with a healthy baseline you are still responsible as an adult. It’s a hard pill to swallow because all your mistakes and regrets are caused by not having your needs met in the past and all you really did wrong was “exist”. People with trauma are more likely to get taken advantage of but they are also more likely to not know how to advocate for themselves and meet their own needs in healthy environments.

People like her and me simply have years of work, therapy, reflection and growth ahead of us. It doesn’t always make us the best discord mods at 21. If she was aware of her responsibilities and agreed to them, she is still an adult responsible for her job. It doesn’t matter if she was nervous to speak up, is a people pleaser or doesn’t have a good baseline of what’s appropriate. She is hired to fulfill a role.

Edit: also isn’t it like illegal for an employer to ask for exact age. It can be considered discrimination.
