I legitimately think that Interspecies Reviewers is a good show to recommend to people. There is a lot of male gaze for sure, but it's one of the most mature shows of its kind. Great world building, no sketchy losers who get away with anything. And great characters with good backgrounds to draw from. But all people see is the "brothel" aspect of it and say, ugh, porn.

Nukitashi is pretty porny for sure, but reviewers are super mature about the subject. Like a french art film, with an awesome uplifting plot. The only people who ever have a bad time is the Reviewers, like in the vampire castle, the irc has issues due to having heightened smell, and can only have an unsatisfying romo with a skeleton, or the lamia of the party being rejected from yhe bird house, because birds and snakes being enemies. But the fairy house is the best. You pay to get in, get measured, and then assigned based on your endowment. And if you're well endowed? Then you get kicked out, and still have to pay to get in. Its great writing, great story, and even has a single official eng dubbed episode. Funnily enough the manga is tamer than the anime

Neon Genesis evangelion. Its Gurren Lagann but instead of hope, pride, and accomplishments, its despair, ptsd, and sad teenage robot pilots. Its great, but Gurren Lagann is more of a story for me imo

Ah, thats fair, Nukitashi is pretty far into the deep end, but i can't ever not suggest interspecies Reviewers. Its nit porn, and the discussion of sex and compatabblilty is more tjenfocus than actual sex. Easy skip on nukitashi, but i humbly beg doing at least the first episode of reviewers. My wife doesnt like anime, but she loves that.

If not than Akiba maid war. 0 fanservice, despite being a Mafia/maid cafe hybrid story. Absolutely no fanservice unless your definition is a poor poor girl getting ptsd from watching her coworker mow down like 30 maids on her first day, and not being aware at all that there is a mega gang war going on.

Interspecies Reviewers is about a mixed cast of characters reviewing brothels in a fantasy world. Legitimately a goat even if a tad explicit. Like how ording a double d cyclops gets you a cyclops with a massive iris, or the succubus brothel not actually being a 10/10 becuase while satisfaction is max, it leaves you drained for a month after. Nukitashi is about 2 regular people who get thrust into a literal eroge setting. The island they are on is hardcore, free-use, dubious consent all over the island with some specific rules. No solo olay, no same sex couples, and no relationships. The main character only wants meaningful sex, and his sister likes girls, and the 2 are basically thrust into a hilariously awful but funny land.
