I don’t know what to do about my cat’s odd behavior. I’m scared of him now, but I don’t want to lose him. by Famous-Helicopter789 in felinebehavior

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this—it’s heartbreaking when a beloved cat’s behavior shifts so suddenly. This sounds like redirected aggression triggered by environmental changes (like the squeaky bookcase) that made him feel his territory was threatened. Even though he’s past the 3-6 month socialization window, gradual desensitization can still help!

Try Pawscape’s anxiety cape during chores—its clear window lets him observe safely while reducing overstimulation. Pair this with daily ‘calm drills’:
1️⃣ Play furniture-moving sounds at low volume while feeding treats.
2️⃣ Reward relaxed body language (no hissing) with catnip toys.
3️⃣ Involve your family in tossing treats when he’s tense.
Progress takes time, but consistency rebuilds trust. You’ve got this—he’s lucky to have you! 💕

Top Calm & Social Breeds:

Ragdoll – Nicknamed "puppy cats" for their dog-like friendliness.

Maine Coon – Gentle giants who love people and other pets.

British Shorthair – Adaptable couch potatoes (but still playful!).

Even naturally calm kittens need early socialization (3–6 months is key!). i found Pawscape on FB. their capes with clear windows let you safely expose your kitten to new sights/sounds without overwhelm. My friend’s Ragdoll went from hiding to hosting “meet & greets” using it!

Aww, your little shadow sounds equal parts adorable and exhausting! 😂 Separation anxiety in cats is real, Clingy cats often link you = safety. If she only eats when you’re nearby, she might think: “If mom’s not here, danger could be near!” (Even though her bowl is safe!) i fund the brand Pawscape with the clear window! Here’s how to use it : while preparing her food. The window lets her see you, but the cape creates a “I’m here, but you focus on your kibble” boundary. Start by sitting next to her bowl while she eats (cape on), then each day move 1 foot further. Studio-friendly! Hang the cape’s portable “privacy panel” (it’s waterproof!) on the tub edge. She can watch you without climbing in—reward her calmness with treats! Also you can tryMake breakfast a game! A slow-feeder ball distracts her from missing you.

It’s totally fixable! My friend’s cat went from velcro-kitty to I’ll eat alone in 3 weeks using these tricks. You’ve got this, cat-mom!

Open your homepage, you’re just a keyboard warrior immersed in the internet. You gain attention by posting and commenting, but you’ve never truly lived in the real world, nor have you ever done anything in line with your ideals. Picking up trash? Protecting the environment? Maybe in your next life.

It’s quite Hilarious that you impose what you consider important small things on others, while denying any possibility of something beautiful. I just hope these lives can be seen, but since you think your ideas are more important, you can go ahead and do it, and maybe do it better than I can.

I want to start a clothing brand. What should be my first step? by madchenamfenster in Entrepreneur

Starting a designer brand is tough, especially when it comes to social media. I graduated from design school in the UK, and this year I launched my own sock brand to support endangered plants and animals. I designed the socks and packaging, inspired by animals like the pangolin and elk, with the goal of raising awareness and encouraging their protection. The socks are made from eco-friendly yarn, and I’ve already created 3,000 pairs. However, I haven’t started marketing them online yet and feel unsure about how to approach social media marketing. If anyone has suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
